Word to those that are considering but haven't had one in the past, these are essentially big cast iron pans/grills. They need to be seasoned and maintained as such.

I have a natural gas line outside of my house so I can just keep it hooked up and start it up whenever. No need for going out and grabbing new propane tanks or getting them exchanged. Obviously this is only relevant if you have a natural gas line you can connect to

Normally natural gas comes to your home through a pipe supplied by your utility company. Propane requires manually filling or swapping tanks. So the main answer is convenience.

Since outdoor grills and griddles aren't usually permenant fixtures, propane tanks are much more practical. But if you put in the time and effort to run a gas line to your griddle, then you don't have to worry about running out of gas.

Yes. I researched a bit and it may be due to different vendor models. Also, the shelves are closer to the height of the cooking surface. Some reviewers that I saw said they were comfortable to work with being higher. It also comes with the hardcover, though I'm not sure if that is a model specific difference or not.

I also have a natural gas connector but decided not to convert it. There's a reason why Weber stopped selling propane - natural gas converters. You can look this up to confirm. Propane burns hotter than natural gas so for natural gas to produce the same about of heat, there is a higher output of gas.

This can cause leaks and fire because propane burners are designed for propane gas...not natural gas. Think it over and be safe.

Thanks OP. Been waiting for one with a cover. Same day delivery was $50 while standard shipping was $70. Saves me an hour of driving and i'd probably have to rent a truck to pickup anyway. Awesome that same day delivery was cheaper!
