They are not bad. Don't take my word for it. However, in one of the manuals for the air fryer it stated to put light oil on fries. I wonder if that would apply to the wings. I personally like the fries without the light coat of oil best in the air fryer.
I've made wings in my air fryer 4 times and was very pleased with the results. I use Louisiana chicken fry and Zatarain's chicken coating or my own mix. I spray the wings with oil after dredging them in the coating. They aren't the same as deep fried of course, but they are crispy and the meat is very tender and tasty without being greasy.
There are plenty of recipes that definitely say you can. Make sure you have some space for the air to circulate.
Just Google "Air fried whole chicken."

Will that be on sale in the future? It's showing 60 on costco's website.
We got a PowerXL 10quart last BF and I hated it. It didn't good food well (shelf system) and the reviews after the fact said the same.
Yes. If it sits too close to the heating element while using your palm press down on the back of the chicken to pop/break the bones.
I have several size Gourmia AFs, they work great.
