    Antutu benchmark of 93,500 which is SHOCKING. For context, that's slower than the Galaxy A12.

    I still think this is a good price point and the battery capacity is excellent. Thumbs up for what it is but if you like your phones snappy, I'd pass.

    As it turns out, a budget phone has budget performance. Probably not bad as a media controller, but wouldn't want it for everyday use.

    the 4x 5g is a surprisingly capable phone especially after you disable all the tracfone stuff in the background. I've been using it daily and its been quite snappy. Games pretty well too.

    "Not Support Verizon/Boost/Sprint/5G/NFC". This phone is trouble, hence the cheapo price. It's not worth the headaches the TCL series 30 will give you. Just keep in mind so and so here may crow how great this phone performs, keep this in mind: With limited frequency spectrum frequency support the phone may work well off the channels offered from their local towers and WIFI. Travel with the phone to a new area and all of a sudden, no data coverage. Better yet wait till you try and troubleshoot. TCL will blame the provider, the provider will blame TCL, they are both right unfortunately. This is not confined to TCL some other bands are affected too.
    Just keep this in mind

    Think media player even if you don't need a phone. Think android pocket tablet. I like this idea. Also has full GPS for travel and maps and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for old school.

    After further research, I don't believe this has GPS which makes it worthless to me.

    GSM arena unfortunately doesn't address 5G bands covered in any detail. I would highly suggest doing a search for forums covering the specific brand/model you are considering before you plunk down your hard earned cash. 5G is a real debacle. Many of the phone makers for one reason or another (rumors) had to limit band coverage because of FCC phone approval. Most will use the LTE sub 6 Mhz bands for 5G. What that means is you are sharing that space with ALL 4G and 5G phones which is already as congested as all get out, the 6Mhz mmWAVE where all the real bandwidth is isn't available to many handsets.. If you are subscribed with a MVNO you are at the back of the line for priority for that bandwidth and I wish you good luck.
    So short story is: If you want to run out and get a 5G phone, make sure it can use the mmWAVE 6Mhz bands. These are the bands that are assigned the "n" numbers n248 and higher. If you are using a MVNO provider, you might as well wait if you are happy with your equipment otherwise.
