Two previous threads have a lot of good info. Search Mint for the posts.
Summary:
The phone is UNLOCKED (I bought it and activated with my existing plan).
The plan is NOT tied to the phone or your name. You can use it for other family member (I did) or sell it.
You must activate the plan in 45 days after purchase.
If don't port in a number, you only get 6 months service.
One person reported switching to Fi from Mint and immediately port it back and getting 12 months.
Some people say you can port in Google Voice number by paying $3 to Google.
You CANNOT cancel the plan only and keep the phone (some tried but was told to cancel the whole purchase or none).
Some people have AMEX offer of $45 off $90 (I used it and got confirmation email from Amex immediately).
You may find referral code to get $15 (I did not use it).
You can use Cash Back site to get some extra dollars back. Ex. urlhasbeenblocked $5 back (It worked for me).
To find the deal manually, go to https://www.mintmobile.com/, click top menu Phone - Deals.
It's unlocked, many (including myself) have bought this deal and confirmed
Every time this gets posted that it's restocked I get tempted but I really don't want the Pro version. I would much prefer the size of the regular Pixel 7, I've been hoping they would offer a similar deal for the Pixel 7 but it does not appear that will be happening.

I see lots of comments that it's unlocked; any insight into whether that's a carrier unlock or bootloader unlock? I've returned a few phones that say they're unlocked but end up only being carrier unlocked. That's important to note for most people, and I don't see it clear anywhere.
Are you planning to root?

If so, i don't think it's an issue on PIxel 7 phones. There seem to be guides on XDA about how to root it by pitching the init_boot image and then doing a factory unlock from Developer Options.

Now that tons of us slickdealers have gotten these phones over the past few weeks, has anyone had any issues with the quality or condition of their new Pixel 7?

Mint is notorious for people having problems buying phones directly through them. It's not directly Mint's fault, but supposedly they have a partnership with a company who provides them with the phones (Quality One Mobile) that is horrendously bad. I guess they are known for shipping used/returned/damaged phones and then not responding to service requests such as exchanges. Mint themselves are also supposed to be really bad about honoring returns of phones despite their no-questions 7 day return policy.

Lost me at NO MICROSD slot and NO headphone jack…… I believe you can hook these up to SSD drives easier these days….. and not having micro SD and a headphone jack seems to be the way things are going….
That stuff has been gone from almost all flagship phones for nearly 5 years. I don't miss either one at this point. and there's always adapters if you really need them

It took a few emails from me to just get a return label. The fingerprint sensor sucks on the phone and the mic does not work well with some apps.

Same - but decided to pull the trigger as my Essential phone (ideal sized phone) battery is giving up. FWIW, my friend got this phone and also didn't want a large phone and is really liking it. Thanks OP.
Me, this, yes. I think it's time to put the old PH-1 out to pasture. Really love the size of my Essential. I wish they had a deal on the P7 but it's actually slightly more than the P7P. Come on.

I got a Pixel 6a for my sister on a similar deal (but locked). She activated it with a new number by mistake and when I found out I asked her to port in a number. When she did port in, a few days later, they would not give her the additional 6 months. Any suggestions for getting that additional 6 months?

128gb and no extendable memory makes this a non starter.

This is smart marketing, it's an intentionally nerfed phone. Most people will realize 128gb is inadequate and end up buying, perhaps the same phone in higher capacity. Secondly, this is so cheap that it brings people into the Google brand.
I'm only using 80GB of my 256 on my current phone after 3 years, and there is this thing called the cloud... 😆👍
