Same, just returned an S22+ through their own UPS pickup it was 64 days until my 3rd complaint trail led to a refund. They simply will not refund an expensive phone at all costs. They were never going to refund me without me reaching out multiple times. They told me I was a few days away from a refund being impossible. Never again. Almost lost $780
This. Amazon returns were a breeze in 2021 and before, but now I trust Amazon returns about as much as I trust Newegg open box items. I avoid high-ticket items from Amazon if at all possible now because of it. If I can get it from a brick and mortar store, even if it's a bit more expensive, I usually pick them - Best Buy, Walmart, Target, etc.
Amazon isn't even close to trustworthy with returns anymore. Ebay, literally, is more reliable for returns.
Has anyone bought one of these recently? From what I've read, everyone claims Dell cheaped out and didn't put any protection between the computer screen and the styrofoam which makes screen scratched a bit on shipping.
I am in the process of returning two G3223Q monitors. The first one was clearly used. There was no plastic film screen protector and the screen had been wiped down with a wet rag and not properly dried, and the whole screen had dried sudsy-like wipe marks. The replacement had what you described around the perimeter. Trying to get help from the call/chat center is nearly impossible if you need them to go off script. I asked if there should be a plastic screen protector and the answer was yes, but I have no idea if they meant the stryofoam sleeve or not. I had chatted with support quite a few times trying to deal with this issue and each tech had a different way of handling things.
The first had wanted me to write down the Service Request/Case, full name, time & date, on a piece of paper and take a picture of this with the two QR codes on the back of the monitor, and they had to be clear enough to scan. Without removing the panel from the stand there is about 3 inches to get a picture. I said I am not doing that in the middle of a chat session. Another tech said that was not right and offered a $50 gift card for all of the trouble and that never came. I escalated to phone calls and was disconnected multiple times. I thought I had until the replacement was delivered to send the original monitor back. Their refund policy is 30 after the PURCHASE date, not the delivery date. I had filed my complaint within the time frame but not the return. All of this turned into an issue and I stood my ground and said I refuse a 3rd monitor, I have two monitors and paid for one and my credit card is frozen. They escalated this and the final result was that I will be refunded as soon as they receive the monitors. I am back to monitor shopping over this. I have read quite a few threads since then stating people were receiving what they thought to be used monitors. Both monitors were shipped with a return label from Dell Returns. The second box was retaped over where the original tape was.
Also, both monitors had dead pixels. Only 2 and 3 respectively, and they really weren't noticeable, but something to keep in mind. I will be going back to my 17 year old Dell 24 inch in the meantime cause all of the monitor prices jumped in the last couple weeks.

Dell went downhill
CS sucks
