Store manager had an issue with the coupon being black and white...I just pulled the coupon site up and the problem was solved. I will see how this coupon goes.

whist accepting it manager argued that everyone has a color printer at home. I said it must be nice and asked him for the seemingly spare one he has at home. I haven't gotten that printer yet.

The $7.50 coupon is for buying from them.
There is a $2.50 coupon for in-store.

I don't know if this is store specific but my local store refused to accept a $2.50 coupon. My guess is because of the fiasco from last time.

Entirely dependent on the quality of water you put in. NYC has a natural TDS in the 30s-40s. One filter lasts a long time. High TDS water would cost you a fortune in filters. I'd stick with Brita in that situation. Won't filter nearly as well, but will probably taste better (i do think Brita water tastes better but maybe only for nyc tap?) and Brita filters can be gotten cheaply.

Anybody know of decent third party filters? Tried the zerowater and it lasted less than 10 gallons before the water was identical to tap.
FYI I use it for plants.

I wanted to love Zerowater so much, but the water quality in Las Vegas is so horrible that one filter would only last one week.

$11.25/each is not cheap at all but more expensive than Brita unless it can prove to work longer.

You are right. I purchased one and it only lasts several weeks due to hard water in my area.

It has ability to remove most of TDS, while Brita does nothing about it.

TDS is not just the indication of hardness.

You can have soft water with high TDS, so it really is the quality of the water initially.

I opted for a Brita after reading about the short duration of filters working.
Scary unless you have a way of knowing.
Mostly, we get RO water from Walmart or Sprouts. ~$0.37/gal + gas cost.
Therefore, the Brita is for times when we are out of RO water.
