At that level, I would consider using a step stool instead because of the top platform that is more comfortable to stand on for an extended period.

I'm a glazier and use my 4 ft. ladder almost daily while working on doors installing closers and caulking. It's light enough to easily transport around the jobsite and isn't a hassle getting around corridors and doorways. I guess a 6 or 8 would be more justifiable if it's just gonna sit in your garage until you need to change that kitchen light bulb once a year.

My 4' gets the most use. Most of my tasks I need to be about 1'-2' taller and this ladder does that job. It's a specific tool much like different weighted hammers. I hardly take my 6' in my home

Either that or one of those three step ladders with the much wider base and more supportive handles. I agree I don't quite understand the use for this size ladder. It is a lot more compact I guess.
