UPDATE:

Philips.com has these in stock for $699 [philips.com]

Open the web page in a clean browser (no cookies) and you should get an offer to sign up for email+texts for a 20% coupon. On confirming your phone number they will text you a link to a one time use coupon.

***The one-time-use is burned once you click "pay" - even if they payment doesn't complete. Merely reloading the checkout page will void the coupon.

$699 - 20% = $559.20 (plus tax), shipping is free.

There are some top referral sites out there which can knock off another $58.71 off the top, making my net $500.48, but you should always use the link above to make sure any referral goes through our benefactor, Slickdealsâ„¢.

Editorial note: The version above, and the one at W-S, are the "iced-coffee" versions that appear to be superseding the previous model (as well as adding $150 to the retail price). They offer the iced coffee instead of the Americano, not in addition to it. Pure speculation: based solely on this new model pricing and my cynicism, I expect a rollout of the higher msrp across the line as the re-stock in the future.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank KeithA8545

Bought this in January (minus the iced coffee feature) and have made over 1k drinks on it since. This thing is amazing. I rinse the internals every two weeks or so and maybe throw a few pieces in the dishwasher. Not as easy to clean as keurig but infinitely easier than a non-automatic. Get yourself some lavazza beans and torani syrups and you'll never go to dunkin or starbucks again. Just don't be surprised if you turn into a coffee addict.

I'm considering it. My Crossland CC1 $#!+ the bed this year (temperature issues; most likely on the board, not in the sensor) and it seems that Bill Crossland no longer responds to emails or ships out repair parts.

Been looking for a replacement maker and I'm kind of over dicking around with a manual. I don't really need the LatteGo function, but it sure seems convenient. I'd prefer the extra settings on the 4300 and wondering if I should drag my feet a little longer to see if they go on sale.

I bought this and returned it. Lots of maintenance to keep it clean. I did a side by side comparison between it and Nespresso and couldn't taste a difference. The lattego steamer does the same job as the Nespresso foam attachment. It was cool, just not for me. Be prepared to read the manual and watch videos to use this machine to its full potential.
super easy to use. sounds like user error

Why does saying you need to read the manual and watch videos to use it to its full potential imply user error? If you want a warm but not hot latte, then us it without reading or watching anything. Go on the forums and read how you need to make 50 plus espresso before the machine produces a dry puck. Be prepared to make sure you don't use oily beans so the burr grinder doesn't get ruined. Did you know that almost all of the o-rings on this need to be replace at some point, with some going bad within the first year? Go on the forums and read about it before purchasing. This is not a "set it and forget it" machine.

Agree with comments on ease of use; perhaps it will give me issues down the road - I can't confirm that until I get there. I bought it several months ago for $575 and absolutely can't complain! I make 1-2 cups / day and cleaning every several weeks is super easy.

I too came from Nespresso VertuoLine - the LatteGo makes a great cup of coffee. It did take a few operations before getting that "dry puck," as others have pointed out. As an aside, I switched from Nespresso after they discontinued the alto. I actually was pretty pissed with Nestle that they expected me to spend 2x or even more for a "caraffe" as a replacement for the "alto" when all I wanted was ~14oz of coffee in the morning. They lost a consumer and now I can completely control my beans, sizing, strength, etc. F Nestle!

I bought it a year ago and very happy about it. The only thing I changed is the coffee temperature. Maintenance is not a problem at all.

would you be happy to detail your method of cleaning the internals? I've recently purchased this machine and yet to do an internal cleanse. Thank you.

This vid details the process... https://youtu.be/yPUnMh_qkp8 every couple weeks I take out the brew group and rinse under water for a couple minutes. I'll also throw the drip tray in the dishwasher and wipe down the inside of the machine with a damp paper towel. Every few months I apply a bit of grease (included) to the spots shown in the vid. I also use the coffee oil remover tablets every 3 months. Maintenance averages about 5 mins every week or two.

A couple things to note. It appears to take a few drinks to calibrate the machine when you first get it. The used coffee pucks will be wet for these, but should be dry after you make about 4-5 drinks.

Also, you're not supposed to use oily beans in superautomatics such as this. Seattle coffee gears website will give you a good list of beans that are safe for superautomatics. I just use lavazza super crema beans.

What a deal. After taxes I paid $950 for mine in March. We never had to go to Starbucks or Dunkin since.
