Correct.
They will. I have brought just the wheels in many times to various locations.
They will absolutely install their tires on any wheels you bring in provided the wheels are not cracked, etc. As above, I have brought just the wheels in many times to various locations.
Pricing is highly dependent on what tires you're buying. I am cheap AF and price shop everything down to the dollar. My wife's various sedans have had tires come from a variety of places based on the best prices. The latest set was the cheapest at Amazon, but I paid about $50 more to get them at Sam's for the road hazard. My truck tires, however, have been the cheapest at 1 of the 3 club stores every time for the last decade plus.
Pennsylvania roads have us blowing at least 1 tire on my wife's sedan every set. And then I actually blew 2 tires simultaneously on an NPS road in my truck. No issues getting Sam's or Costco to honor the road hazard warranty at any point. Neither has ever even asked for proof of rotation, etc. They have only asked for that in regards to treadwear warranty claims.
Corporate policy dictates that they can only install tires the same size with an equal/greater speed rating. If you want something that doesn't meet that criteria, then you can just bring the wheels in.
This is probably the most ignorant thing I will read all day. While marketing hype is just that, the ratings, treadwear patterns, construction, etc. are certainly not equal among all tires. If you're parking it when it snows and just making a 30mph trip to the supermarket after you get your McD's pancakes every morning like my dear old Pop did, pretty much any tire will suffice. That's not the case for most people though. You do you though. Darwin can't be everywhere at once.

Have to buy Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 or Bridgestone or whatever.
ALL WONDERFUL Experiences over 10 years.
South Florida Boca and Coral Springs
also outside of area for warranty/hazard claims have been great.
I bought some Michelin Defender LTX M/S (70k warranty) from Costco 5.5 years ago. I've got almost 50k miles on them, and treads are down to about 3/32". I'd like to replace them now, which means they're 20k miles short, or 28% of their life. Will they give me a 28% credit toward my next set of tires? Will that stack with this current $150 promotion?
I got my tires rotated elsewhere, at intervals of between 5795 and 7054 miles. I've got several of my receipts, but will have to go to the dealer and ask for receipts from my last few visits.
On my own car I have had them do a warranty replacement, no hassle at all, but I pbly drove on worn tires longer than I should have.
I had a nail puncturing one of the tires after a few months, and Costco replaced the tire (since it cannot repair it without affecting the integrity of the tire) - I only had to pay minimal/pro-rated fee for like $10-20 on a $200+ tire.
I'm not sure how much their hazard warranty is anymore but if you wanted to try them, I would bring in the total cost to buy/install from Costco and ask them to price match and make sure to point out that costco's RH warranty is included. If they point out how theirs is full replacement you can mention how low your past fees for prorated were very minimal and see what happens. I've always had good luck negotiating with them but it might not be worth the hassle if you are happy with Costco.
BJs Tire Promise - https://tires.bjs.com/tire-promise/
BJs and Costco have basically the same benefits; Tire Rotation, Wheel Rebalancing; Flat Repairs.
Costco mentions nitrogen inflation.
BJs says "Inflation Check", but I don't remember if they use nitrogen, but probably a safe bet they do.
I had to get 4 new tires installed and switched from BJs to Costco without even checking to see if the deals were the same or even better at BJs for the main reason being that Costco keeps DIGITAL records of your tire purchase, and any subsequent interactions(purchase, rotations, balancing, flat repairs, etc.).
BJs, makes you keep on hand and present your original tire purchase receipt. If you lose it you're screwed. I had asked them if they would ever be able to track down my purchase from the tire center if I had an issue and lost the receipt, and they hinted that they could, but then pointed to a room full of boxes that looked like what you see in police evidence rooms in a tv show, and that it was basically impossible.
It might seem like nothing, but I think it's worth not having to worry about having to present that piece of paper. I have scanned copies but I was even given pushback where I had to talk to a manager one time to have them accept the picture I showed them on the phone for a recent rotation since I hadn't thought I'd ever have to prove when I had the tires got rotated to justify a flat repair. (i.e. to prove that I was keeping to the service schedule)
Then they told me my sensor was out but they don't have the one my vehicle needs so I should go to another tire shop.
So yeah, I won't be going to Costco for tires again.

I think the 1 cent installation is dead with the $150 off... but my fingers are crossed.
i have not seen 1 cent install in years...
when was the last time you saw costco offer that?
i believe they have stopped offering that deal.
On my own car I have had them do a warranty replacement, no hassle at all, but I pbly drove on worn tires longer than I should have.
I just stopped in the tire shop and the clerk said he'd need a supervisor to examine my tires and my records. When I told him I got them rotated elsewhere he was a bit surprised and said that may make it tougher.
I have a front wheel drive car and the due to the added weight on the front of the car, the tire pressure is supposed to be 2lbs greater than the rear. Getting the correct tire pressure DOES make a difference in handling and ride. It's surprising how many mechanics don't know that front wheel drive cars generally require higher pressures in the front than in the rear.
There is a sticker inside the drivers door that gives the correct tire pressures for your car.

How To Rotate Tires On Front-Wheel-Drive Vehicles? (Explained)

I ended up just buying an impact wrench and will just do it myself for the current sets. If I do find a tire place that offers free tire rotation, I will make sure they put in writing that it includes switching out wheel sets and that there is no clause for them to change their mind in the future for tires already purchased.

I sometimes do it there, mostly for the "free" balancing. Mostly it's done at the dealer when I get an oil chg. The service advisor always knocks it off..
