Thank you for this incredibly well-informed opinion! You're doing important work!
A cheap record player like the crossly will damage your records there is just no other way of saying that. A good entry level player will set you back around 150 or if you can find it used on ebay give or take have that.
It looks like a small selection. Or are there more?

Are any of these remastered versions? I know that Jimmy Page has remastered (not remixed unfortunately) most of the LZ catalog and these look to be the original recordings. Also not sure about Let it Be. What does Walmart exclusive mean, they were pressed just to be sold at Walmart?

I think the WM Let It Be had 4 lithographs of the band members or something.

Picked up a few 2 LP sets today in store - Elton John Diamonds, Seether Vincennial, Stones Hot Rocks, Taylor Swift Red. Figured the Swift one was good to hold on to at that price.

Can anyone confirm they actually got ANY Taylor Swift vinyl scanned at $`15 in store? In the 2 stores I went to this AM, all Swift scanned higher than $15. And the new Springsteen scanned at $31...but none of them carried the "walmart Exclusive" sticker- every other record I scanned came in at $15 if it had that sticker-including Hot Rocks, 1999, all the Metallica, Queen, Korn, Pantera, 3rd Eye Blind, etc.

Bought TS Red today for $15. It was the only one they had.

I bought Taylor Swift Red, Fearless and 2 versions of Midnights for $15 each so can confirm that they are $15 in stores. It's regular price online. All vinyl at stores are $15 regardless if they are Walmart Exclusive releases or not.

I don't think that is 100% accurate in all stores. As I posted, a number of items I personally scanned in two different stores in my area did not scan at $15. This may be a "your results may vary" sort of situation. I'll go recheck tomorrow to see if I get different results in store.

Best of luck. Hopefully you'll be able to get the records of your choice.

Most records I scanned today were 15, but the Busta Rhymes album had a 38 dollar sticker and scanned for 55. I will try to take it to customer service tomorrow to adjust price.

Second local WM had a back room inkjet printed sign that said all vinyl $15. Tons of vinyl I didn't see at the other WM.

Snagged Gun N Roses greatest hits, Shinedown Planet Zero and TS Midnights. All $15.

I went in to pickup the Price Greatest Hits and Elton John Diamonds and next thing I know I spent $240 on vinyl.

All the records at my local Wally World were $15. The majority of the albums I picked up were doubles or box sets, all rang up at $15

There was no promotion besides a sad looking printed sign taped to the shelf that said "All vinyl $15"

The selection was very impressive. I could have spent more but had to restrain myself

Thanks, upon further review of some of the titles, VH1 has remastered tracks, but a bunch of them, Led Zep, Beatles, etc. do not appear to be remastered so I'd pass on those.

When was the last time you listened to a really good audio cassette deck, especially with Dolby S? If you listened to it today, you would be shocked at how good it still sounds. Incredibly low noise. I think it's CD quality as far as signal to noise. It's probably analog audio at its best outside of a reel to reel.
Probably in the early 90s as cassettes were dying off. A format based on tape is not great in the long run.

Went to the same 2 stores again this morning and everything scanned at $15, including the Swifts, Springsteen and a Beyonce "renaissance" box. Asked the clerk in electronics to check prices before I went to check out, she said they'll all be $15, told her about my yesterday scan and she said "we had a glitch that we fixed last evening after multiple customer complaints"...so perhaps that explains it....thank you for info!
