YMMV1: I spoke with Dell Outlet chat support about any promotions they might have and they offered me 4% off. I continued to chat with them until they offered me 8% off, so I got it for $818.15. I purchased with the Costco Citi credit card for the 2 year extended warranty.

YMMV2: Both Dell and Dell Outlet have PayPal as a payment option. I think PayPal has a 4% off offer for them and I could have also used my Chase Freedom card via PayPal for an additional 5% off. Other cards, etc might have even more options. But I opted with option 1.

90 day warranty vs 3 years for it being new :/ Good price but the warranty period makes me nervous for a QD-OLED.

If you have multiple amex cards that have the 600-120 offer and split the payment, you should be able to get the new one with similar price.

Not confident your CC will give extended warranty on a refurbished item.

Yeah that's why I came to comment. Does that Costco card put a 2yr warranty on every purchase or something? Even if it's not from Costco?

I was able to get the 8% discount by chatting with a Dell Outlet agent. At first the agent offered 5% off. I asked if I could pay with PayPal (for an additional 4% cash back), but he informed me that PayPal is only available when orders are placed directly through the online storefront. I told him that I would be missing out on PayPal's cash back reward and he increased the discount to 8% ($818.15). I placed the order with my Chase Sapphire card which includes a 1-year warranty extension and a 5% cash back reward on all Dell purchases.

Not worth it, the biggest thing with this monitor is the peace of mind 3 year replacement warranty and there are people sending them back already.

There are cashback sites offering better discounts on BF, even SD's own CB isn't bad. Then you have a lot of credi card offers at 5% at Dell, but highly YMMV on Dell refurbished/outlet purchases.

Chase Sapphire extended warranty doesn't cover "Used or pre-owned items". Isn't a refurbished item "pre-owned"?

The invoice doesn't mention that it's refurbished or pre-owned. When you order it through a chat agent you'll get a Dell EMC invoice which lists the original product code (ASSY,BASE,DIS,AW3423DW). Sure you're taking a chance, but at roughly 37% discount (incl. Chase cash back) compared to a new monitor with Black Friday discounts it's worth the risk IMO.

Ah, good to know! I'm a big fan of refurbished items. I still think this is a decent deal for a monitor with g-sync ultimate.

Many cards do. I believe Costco does. The chase sapphire preferred/reserve both add an extended warranty with anything purchased directly with a retailer but not if it goes through PayPal.
