No. You can plug in USB device and store the recordings locally
blink has no privacy, they state that they will share all information with big brother. all amazon owned devices collect, share, sell your information. so this brings me to the second point: if you care about privacy NEVER install any camera/ voice recorders that are connected to the internet, else you are a fool.

Good price and synced well with alexa and easy to setup, it's just The night vision for these cameras were Just really bad for me, it was a deal breaker for me and I had to return them.

It depends on the sensitivity we set for motion detection.

I tried with every possible sensitivity level and other setting I could find and never could get them responsive enough.

I have a NAS, anyway to upload to NAS and also to cloud like onedrive or google drive?

I don't think it can be done with Blink. It doesn't support RTSP whereas Eufy does and that was the reason I went with Eufy. I never had Blink work the way expected. To see videos recorded on USB had to unplug the USB drive from sync module and plug that to a computer cannot be seen on app without a subscription.

I have blink which is free (old acct). I have few outdoor camera and few indoor with sync module. Can I use the blink door bell from this package and add It to my account and do I get alerts? I have ring pro as door bell and I don't have paid subscription and it's kind of useless for me.

first I would say, if you can access you device from outside, so can others (no amount of security can stop a very sophisticated person/organization, unless you are constantly updating your system and the device that is doing the access is also secure).

with that in mind here is a quick guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAw6w6IMRyM

blink does not have AI, so you camera has to be pointing to near perfect condition, else it will drive you crazy.

No, sync module is included already. So you just buy and install it and you are good to go

I bought a couple of blink cams and kept them maybe 4 days before sending it all back because of the delays. The app was fine, the video quality was pretty good, but someone would walk past a camera and by the time it detected them and started recording they would be 95% out of frame.
Yup, pure GARBAGE. I can't believe amazon can get away with calling these security cameras..

This was extremely slow. Take very long time to show the image. Night vision quality was very bad

Above link is the youtube video of why Linus Tech Tips drops Eufy/Anker as a sponsor.

Its not shady when a foreign national goes to the US and studies (some more).
Then somehow found a job in a big tech company (Google).

BUT,

after a while, goes back to his home country to report back and gained some funding for his own company.
Also, pirated another employee from the same tech company.
Then launched his company in the US, initially promoting it as a US company.
Hey, it's Steven Yang, billionaire businessman.

All said is true.

I have the gen2 which has free cloud storage.

I've been very happy with it. It's only used to know if anyone came to the house or not, is there a package on the door or not. Did the bear come to the front yard again or not. Not really for precision surveillance.

Installed mine in 2018. Still running original AA batteries, all 8 cameras. Each did probably several thousand alerts and still running, truly amazing.

On some days I forget to turn them off before foot traffic begins so when I see my phone, I got 150 alerts. Still running the same batteries despite that.
