The only difference between this holiday-themed Xbox Series S and the one that's available all the time is the packaging. You're still getting the console, a wireless controller, two AA batteries for said controller, plus an HDMI cable and the standard power cord--everything you need to set up and play.

There are no pack-in games or promotional Game Pass or Xbox Live subscriptions included, so you either need to pay for those separately or link your existing Xbox account to access your digital game library and online services.

Seems like a great deal, price wise, for the Series S. However don't see anything special about the holiday bundle? Seems like a regular packaged Series S

It's the Series S, not the One S. Target had a similar deal a while back but included a second controller.

I'm a dad of 12yr and 10yr old boys. We have a Wii and Switch {actually use this} for most gaming. I bought Stadia and Madden and Fifa to wet their whistle for those games. Now that Stadia is shutting down I'm looking for the next purchase. Anyone recommend a certain system or model .. Or ones to avoid?

This is a good buy if you don't want them to have to care for discs and especially with gamepass. My son has a 1080p tv in his room which basically renders a series x useless to a young kid who just wants to play Fortnite. A series S is great for casual players, people without 4k TVs and children. I would personally get a series x for myself but, that's a personal preference and more expensive, but worth it to me

I love my Xbox series s. I have one and a disk drive ps5. I play the Xbox more. And for kids, it's probably the better buy in case they knock it over or something it's cheaper to replace. I can't imagine a kid telling the difference between 1080p 60fps and something better. Plus all the kid friendly games - roblox, Fortnite, whatever are digital anyways.

I have an 11 year old and a 12 year old and they can definitely tell the difference. After playing our ps5 at 4K on our oled tv and playing games at 60fps they are quick to point out uglier games and games that are sub 60fps due to the stuttering or lag.

I'm completely new to this…would this be adequate to use for Microsoft Flight Simulator? Graphics ok? Worth it to upgrade to the disc version? Thanks in advance.

So I'm guessing it's not a true 512gb after the xbox software
...I'm guessing, like 350-375?
