Almost certain he means he overclocked his 6800xt until it's a little more powerful than the 6900xt's official specs. Of course, if he had a 6900xt he could overclock that as well, so it's a pretty useless argument.
6900 doesn't exist, that must be how.
Honestly, I didn't know there wasn't a 6900 non XT, since there is a 6800 and a 6800XT, I thought maybe it also applied for the 6900 version. But I was still curious how come a 6800 could surpass a 6900 (let's say it existed) non XT. An my question was still valid.
It's so hard to read sarcasm/jokes/passive-aggressiveness in forums that I get confused a lot.
Good answer on your side.
Let's have a prosperous deal-hunting.

My 6800XT is arriving today from CA to CT about 8 days. Paid $515 after $20 MIR. All reviews said not worth paying more for 6900XT BUT this price is cheaper. Make sure your PSU has 3 VGA 8 pin leads. That's what the 6800XT needs, I assume 6900xt is the same. Actually read about 6900XT having crashes etc...

Good price, I'm still happy with my Gaming X Trio 6900xt I bought months ago for $670.

It is a beast of a card btw. The latest drivers AMD put out are finally solid too.

I had a 6900XT and downgraded to a 6800. Didn't lose much performance at my ultrawide resolution, but did lose a lot of heat and power usage. The 6800 is so much cooler.

I am waiting for RDNA 3.

I noticed this price last night, but take note - while free Prime shipping, free returns, and shipped/sold by Amazon, it says delivery by Dec 27th. So taking orders, but none in stock til more than a month out.
I see Jan 22nd 😂

Is there a website that walks you through to "build your own computer starting from one key component", such as a choice of CPU, graphic card or MoBo?

pcpartpicker.com is pretty good for that. Can virtually "build" your PC on there and it will check for compatibility between parts (physical fit is checked for as well, but not 100% accurate; they will show disclaimers stating as such). Best thing is that it can track prices too for each part across a few different online retailers. People also post their completed builds on there that you can use for reference and maybe draw inspiration from. Hope that helps!!

Common sense and Google search ("Ublock" plug-in in browser, avoid ads).
Even if someone pretend "easy-peasy assist PC builder", nobody knows what are you really need.
Playing in strategy games - one build, MMO shooters - 2nd, creating web-sites - 3rd, AutoCAD - 4th etc.
And always will be price cap - how much you are really ready to spend?

Examples if you are talking about games.
1. Playing diff.games just for fun afternoon at home in 1080p with MAX settings - RX 6600, ANY 6-core modern CPU, almost ANY Mb, min 16GB almost any RAM, almost any decent SSD from, let's say 512GB, almost any 27" 1080p monitor.
2. Playing MMO shooters as Pro with team in 4k - MINIMUM RX 6800, minimum 8-core last gen AMD/Intel CPU, top chipset Mb, min 32GB hi-speed DDR5 RAM, Samsung last gen "Pro" series SSD, min 32" 4k low latency monitor or a few on TN.
