Capital One's 90% cashback is the safe bet and you pay only $10 total for two years. However, if you're adventurous, another popular cashback site is offering 105% cashback (new user). That's right, you'll get paid for using Nord.
I'm still waiting to get my cashback from getting HBO max a while back via capital one.
Thanks, it's really a Top site for CashBack

Made the same mistake originally myself and had Nord support cancel my first order. Embarrassment

Now I'm only seeing pending cash back on Capital One for the first order but nothing for my re-order. Is this the same case for you as well?
lol glad to know I wasn't the only one!

Here's my experience both times:
1) place order and nothing shows up in cashback yet
2) payment clears next day and a few hours later I check CapOneShopping account and can see the NordVPN cashback entry.
3) about half a day later from that point, I receive an email from CapOneShopping confirming the cashback from NordVPN has been added to my account. So basically it's 48 hrs from when order was placed.

Now just need to wait to find out if the amount becomes available for a "subscription service" in 30 or 60 days.

Guess no way of buying this and getting cash back? I was thinking about purchasing it and stacking with my current subscription to get some extra years in.

Wtf, they just hijacked OPs thread to be for the SD extension? Shady. Just make your own thread and stack it with some thumbs and keep bumping it to top of FP 👀
Lmao 👍

It's ok, it doesn't matter to me which cashback program anyone uses. I don't make anything from this and just wanted to share a good deal.

At least slickdeals bumped their cashback on NordVPN from 70% originally up to 100% to match what CapOne was offering. Top was offering 105% but I am not familiar with them and would prefer to go with a banking institution even if it's for less cashback. I bit on the deal at 90%

Does Windscribe or any other VPN screw up your connection to a lot of sites like Amazon? When I dont turn on Windscribe, Chrome would not even let me land on Amazon's page. I guess it thinks that I am some hacker who is from another country and not the US so it wont let me go to Amazon's page. But once I turned on Windscribe, I can go to Amazon and some other's homepage just fine. And when I am on many sites, they think that I might be a criminal when I am using a VPN service. So they ask me to prove that I'm a real human by making me click on a bunch of photos. It's really annoying and it makes me NOT want to use a VPN service.
Yes, probably all vpn services have the issues you mentioned because they are used by hackers and spammers too, so the servers can and do eventually get blacklisted and blocked. The services do things like change IP addresses and add new server locations to the list to help reduce this problem but it's pretty common. The paid services are a better than the free ones in this aspect as far as I know.

I just used Top for 4 straight talk phones last night and already all 4 are pending. It was my first time using it, but I've heard good things.

I'll probably jump on this deal as I'm currently using a free 6mo trial of Keepsolid VPN and it broke on my Linux PC when I upgraded the OS and has been spotty on my Windows PC

NordVPN selling your information or something.. how do they make money?
I'm guessing it's to claim market share, and maybe they hope that you'll forget to turn off auto renew. Or you'll actually enjoy their service and continue to be a subscriber. But there's always a possibility of what you mentioned too. Who knows?

Did you use PayPal to pay for it? I did that with one of the transactions and they did not pay me for it. I can see why because when you use PayPal, it directs you to the PayPal portal to complete the purchase so Top assumes that you were using another site. And yes, it took them awhile to investigate the transaction. But overall, I still think they are a good cashback site that almost always pays more than other cashback sites.
I was wondering if my PayPal exits might effect the redirects for CB, but I just did 4 PayPals on straight talk that went pending the next day. Maybe it has to do with how the website sets up PayPal. For example some will send your tab to PayPal and then PayPal sends you back. Whereas some have PayPal come up as a pop-up.

But yeah, I'm always really paranoid about the smallest thing affecting a CB too. I usually dump everything in the cart, then do the CB page, so that it's loaded right before I checkout

I tried several times attempting to pay with Paypal but the transaction did not go through. I ended up paying with my CC on CapitalOne Shopping app. If you go to your NordVPN account, you will see those transactions paid by Paypal still show pending and did not go through.

Ok so why do we need to use VPN services then? I mean I don't do anything illegal online. As far as privacy is concerned, I think Google already screws most people with all the information they have on us. I dont log into Netflix when traveling to another country anyway. Maybe this is why these VPN services are cheap to use now. It reminds me of the iPods when they first came out. Now nobody uses them anymore.

I recall that was the only time when I had trouble with TCB. I wanted to use PayPal at the time because there was an additional percentage cashback from one of the credit cards at the time like the 5% cashback Chase/Paypal promo that is currently running. I always get a PayPal pop up whenever I use them to pay on my desktop. So that must have interrupted the TCB tracking and they said the merchant never paid them so they had to deny my claim. Just be careful next time when you are trying to pay with PayPal and using cashback sites at the same time. I would be safe and only use whichever one offers you the greater incentive.

You bring up good points. I think the vast majority of folks are using VPN to bypass geo-specific streaming services, such as Nexlfix, Hulu, etc.

It also keeps you safer when using public wifi (not completely safe, but safeR) because hackers can sniff your data packets and steal your info for things like identity theft.

But for example, let's say you're a sports fan. If you subscribe to NFL league pass, MLB league pass, NBA league pass, etc you know there are blackout games that you can't watch until like a few days after the actual event. All local games get blacked out which sucks!

Well with vpn, you can spoof your location and all of the sudden you can view all those blackout games live. (It's not exactly this simple anymore but still possible). Not only this but you can also get discounts for those league passes by buying the subscription from another country. A $200 subscription here isn't that much in a 3rd world country. It's only a fraction of it. Now does it make sense why VPN is very useful 😉
