They were not in a cabinet, just sitting on an open shelf and had plenty of space all around and my basement runs cool all year round so I don't think that was the issue.

How about your power. You have a conditioner? Was your power stable etc? I have had many denon and havent had them break. How hard were you using them?

Love audyssey and it's a great receiver, but the HDMI issues are making me consider another brand. I'll probably buy this so I have one while I get mine repaired, then will sell it when I get it back.

Has to be something with your equipment. I have had the same versions and just bought the a110…. Which did have a documented hdmi issue for some things. (It didnt impact me.)
