Looks like too much stock for high end 30xx cards. I still remember when 3080/3090 cards were getting being sold to bots and real people could not buy it and Nvidia decided to exclusively sell FE cards via BestBuy. Guess they are not able to move Nvidia cards anymore.
Can you tell me where can I buy a brand new 3080/3090 with reasonable price? It seems either OOO or $1200+ everywhere

Why would anyone buy this when you can pick up a 6950XT for $750? nvidia has been keeping the supply super tight to keep prices up, but I have a feeling that they still aren't selling any. The only case I can think of where this makes sense is if playing with raytracing on is worth $350 to you, and then (as others have pointed out), you might as well grab a 4080 or wait for the 7900xt.

If you're spending $1K+ on a gaming card, might as well just go for the new gen.
All these cards are overpriced anyways. 4080 should be under $800. The parts that make up that card cost like $300. So you're spending 1K just to pay for their marketing and DLSS R&D.

Well sure, if you want to dump R&D the price should be free, since it's basically just a handful of sand that anyone could find on any beach on this planet.
Things are worth exactly what people are willing to pay for them. No more, no less. How much it "costs to make" or opinions on how much it "should be" have no bearing whatsoever.

Disagree on that. It has a lot of bearing on how much you wanna plop down during inflation on a piece of plastic. It's not a good value.

What's the point? for 100 bucks more I can walk in to any Micro Center and buy a 4080. They literally have half of their original opening day stock in most stores
I primarily posted due to availability. My local microcenter only has 3rd party 3080's at $1400 right now. But agree, if you can get a 4080 for $1200, that's a much better deal IMO.
