I have just contacted Amazon and they told me the $8 will be added to the account after 48 hours of the purchase.

works automatically on items ship and sold by amazon.com . make sure you see the offer in gift cards section on left side.

Any way to verify this will work prior to purchase? I see nothing on the checkout page indicating the credit will get applied.
