I think this is a good deal, no comment?
My only concern is not sure about the fan noise, any idea?

if fan noise is an issue, i would highly recommend finding a review for this exact model.

my in personal experience, fans only become an issue during high res gaming on laptops where a lot more power is dedicated to graphics.

This beats the Costco price by ~$150. Though Intel vs AMD and lighter color exterior.

I've had it for about a week. I haven't done any real gaming on it yet, but for daily use the fan is close to silent.

Edit: Sorry. I have the AMD version, so I'm not sure if the Intel fan noise is any different.

this is tough...

i have the Slim 7 Pro X from costco, really like it... but the port selection on this one is nicer. I used it plugged in most of the time, so battery isn't a big concern, but knowing that the AMD one prob gets like 1.5-2x the battery life for simple stuff is kind of important, for perhaps a plane ride.

performance looks like it's probably a wash because the 12700h in a small chassis is like that, but that hdmi and thunderbolt would be nice.

and this one is cheaper. hmm

comparing side to side

https://www.digitaltrends.com/com...-9-6900hs/

Battery life figures attached..

In web browsing, AMD model is 50% better
In video watching, AMD model is 74% better
In PCMark10 Apps, AMD model is ~23% better

Thanks for posting this. I am torn as I bought the Slip 7 Pro AMD model here:

https://slickdeals.net/f/16162486-lenovo-slim-7-pro-x-gaming-laptop-ryzen-7-6800hs-14-5-3k-1tb-ssd-rtx-3050-1029-10-free-s-h?attrsrc

Wondering if the extra $150 or so is worth the RAM upgrade and better intel chip (other model has AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS), but given those marks it seems AMD version is better?

I have the Costco amd version and mine does have a bit of a loud noise without playing games. It also randomly crashes and reboots on it's one. I do like the laptop but I will be returning it and getting the same one.

If you don't care about battery life or a strong iGPU then I'd say this is a better deal yeah. Plus there's various cash back promos etc, chase freedom 5% PayPal

CPU performance will be pretty similar I think. But if you need thunderbolt 4 and/or Hdmi then that's a plus here

Does anyone know if the Slim 7 is able to have a WWAN modem card added?

I currently have the T14 AMD Gen1 and added a modem card for a data SIM (from another Slickdeal: T-Mobile $10 per month data SIM card).

I've been looking at upgrading to a new Lenovo but it's hard to find info on which product lines have WWAN as an option.

Seems to be good promotion. This model can run the 12700H at 55w under load. But will the price get lower on black Friday or cyber Monday?

The Slim 7 does not have WWAN antennas built in.

Same position as you. Ironically I also have the T14s AMD Gen 1 and the $10 T-mobile card.

You need to go to the Thinkpad line in order to get the WWAN options. (T14s, X1 Carbon, X1 Yoga, P1 Gen 5, etc...)

The ID.me verification is too annoying, why would they need the SSN to verify a student identity...., I am not confident to give the SSN to a website.
