little for me.
Hopefully I get the 15% Cashback from another site which would make this $255 cheaper.
I also used PayPal with chase freedom which gets me 5% this quarter so another $85 back.
This is an excellent laptop. Using it as a desktop replacement. Picked it up on the last sale.
Excellent thermals!!! Running Topaz Video AI as I type - going on 9 hours (1 hour twenty min left). dGPU using 1.77 of 1.79 GHz. VRAM using 7.00 of 7.00GHz. CPU using about 3.78 of 4.93 GHz. (Balanced mode). Fans are at max and def audible but not 'jet engine'. Max temps are 73.3 to 76.6 across the 4 cores (in the die). (Core temps range from 60 to 71.5). Laptop is raised about 2 inches off the desk. Ambient is 72 in the house.
The modem is ok. Its a different Mediatek than the one that gets most complaints. Will replace with an Intel shortly.
(Doesn't the 'other site' cap out at $100.00/purchase?)
For $400 more I got the Dell XPS 17, a slightly weaker GPU but 28% better CPU and with a touchscreen.

Compared to say a $1000 Helios 300 deal, the CPU here is 25% weaker and the GPU here is 36% stronger (per UserBenchmark)
Also better screen here, etc.
This is a 6800h/3070ti model, but 1400
