Imagine washing a muddy car with a wet rag before pre-rinsing it. Of course you can keep washing the rag or use new ones. Or just take it to a car wash or wait for the next rainstorm. There are many ways to solve a problem. You choose what's best for you 🙂
Agreed.
A wise person once suggested that I consider this: If you walk barefoot in the yard, and accidently get dog poop on your foot, do you wash it or just get some toilet paper and clean your foot off.. why should your undercarriage be treated any differently?

Because these things for sale aren't using soap and if I spray myself with diarrhea I'll wak in the shower at home anywhere else I'll wipe 20 damn times and line my crack with TP till I get home to the shower
I had a Biobidet and it lasted two years before the hinge cracked. I've read similar reviews. Not overweight or rough on it.
Replaced it with a Toto for a little bit more. Toto does not do as good of a job cleaning but I know people who have had theirs for a decade without issue.
Not sure if this problem has been resolved with later designs but figured I'd mention it. was very dissapointing.
I'm going through this very issue - actually I have this Biobidet model for about a year and recently invested in a Toto Washlet for double the price of this one and like you said; less pressure, not immediate warm water (takes its time to warm up) and on the this Biobidet model everything heats up quick and water pressure is top notch. Might have to consider storing the Washlet but it looks so nice on its new Toto Toilet.
Random stupid question… Does the bidet pull water directly from the wall or does it come out of the tank on the toilet? Is it ok to use the Clorox toilet tabs in my tank still? I thought it was directly from the wall but my Clorox tabs have been getting used up pretty quickly.

from fresh water. same water before gets to your tank.
yes you need to wipe.
wet tissue is fine, do that if you want, less classy but if it does the job for you go ahead, some people dont want to wipe multiple times (even with wet tissue) but feels less clean.
shower takes too long.
in regards to this deal though, prices still seem high; there are comparable brands that more budget friendly.
Any recommendations on the brands? I was actually looking to pull the trigger on this one.

I got the costco one, the warm seat function stopped working after 2 years, I think it's poor design. Returned to Costco for full refund. I recommend only ordering from costco.
So you were still able to return to Costco after two years?
I have owned both the USPA 6800 for >2 years at my last place and just got the DIB Special Edition at a new rental. The 6800 is a WAY better seat. "Special Edition" water starts cold then warms up, the jet is both weaker at its max and lacks an oscillating setting (it can shoot a wider spray hitting the sides of your cheeks which I hope is not needed, but will not oscillate up and down), and the remote is just much worse because it both lacks a display and lacks any way of checking what the settings are without cycling through each setting -- given the first part, I'm questioning performance of any of their newer models. Get the USPA 6800.

That's the exact answer I was looking for. Thank you so much! Repped!
Saw the deal was still live and was on the verge of buying one but the claims of it breaking are so common in this thread that its pretty scary. It's not just returning it that bothers me, but having to disassemble the whole thing and put back in my old seat. I don't want toilets to be something I have to replace in 2 years. Will be on the lookout for a more reliable brand.

Never understood this bidet hype, seems nasty to spread microbes around with water......If I get poop on my arm I'm just going to wipe it clean with a rag and not use water and spread it everywhere. Bring me soap, that's a different story.
Research shows bidets are pretty nasty and can spread microbes, the case in point when bidets we're installed at a hospital, patients were cautioned to not use the bidets. In women, research shows it can alter the normal microbiology, because ya know washing that poo residue right into the vagina.
It's great for people who have certain medical issues like hemorrhoids and swamp ass throughout the day. 🤣
