From Vitamix website, warranty seems pretty comprehensive, I don't have direct experience: "warrants to the owner that if this Blender (a "Blender" consists of a motor blender base, any blending container(s), lids and tamper(s) purchased together) fails within 10 years from the date of purchase due to a defect in material or workmanship or as a result of normal wear and tear from ordinary household use, Vitamix will, within 30 days of receipt of the returned blender, repair the failed Blender or component part of the Blender free of charge.If, in Vitamix's sole discretion, the failed Blender or component part of the Blender cannot be repaired, Vitamix will elect to either (A) replace the Blender free of charge or (B) refund the full purchase price to the owner, unless Vitamix receives prior written notice of the owner's preference."

My 2 cents here. I have 5200 for last 10 years but I wanted more functionality like food processor attachment and small blenders. So I decided to upgrade to A3300. Guess I would find out in another 10 years if its worth it or not. The newer attachments are enticing enough.

Parts labor and shipping both ways on the entire machine. The rep had my one year old 7500 picked up without my asking when it sounded a bit off to her on the phone. It was returned in ten days with updated parts and a new container. Specifications and parts suppliers change. Whatever the level of commitment to service was or will be I can attest that it is outstanding today. Who else is selling appliances with a 10 year warranty or even a 1 year that they actually honor? Blenders are consumable items. Quality and durability are decreasing. Parts and labor costs increase. If Vitamix only gave 3 years at this price it would still be a steal.
