With the whole scandal going on with eufy cams right now...I would not touch them with a 10 foot pole. I regret buying some of their cameras. So many false promises from this company.

As someone else said, do not buy Eufy cameras right now--they've lit themselves on fire as a security brand. If you aren't aware, the TLDR is that they're uploading pictures of your house online in an unsafe, unencrypted format, even after telling everyone images were stored locally and did not have cloud uploading. I believe you can also view photos of your house AFTER YOU HAVE DELETED YOUR ACCOUNT. It's a hot garbage fire. Even the least security conscious people I know are freaked out by this scandal and are no longer planning on buying these cameras and returning the ones they bought for Christmas. I was literally about to buy one the day the scandal broke.

Well, at least the data in question sits securely within Eufy's cloud. They just need to explain why they are keeping the preview images.

It's still more reassuring compared to other similar companies, like Wyze, which had bad press for getting hacked.

While they have fixed the encryption issue. the fact that I was buying in because I could avoid using a cloud, only to find out it'll be on the cloud anyway is frustrating. Especially when I JUST invested in their doorbell 2 and homebase 2 for $160.
