This is an incredible unit. Similar to the platinum model which I own and paid about $95 for. Very accurate but the cool features are the integrated app and the fact it can take multiple measurements which is the most accurate measure. It can take up to 3 with a countdown in between measurements. This is a feature you can turn on/off it doesn't always take multiples. You can set it to do them or not.
You have no clue what you bought the other day. Do you?

I recently purchased this on Amazon sale. This one is Plug-in/battery model which is a huge win for me as I'm not good with batteries. The arm cuff is limited in size. So people with bigger arms might find it difficult to use this. The true read is convenient but it takes almost 3-5 mins for the reading as there is changeable interval between the 3 readings (30secs- 60secs). The app is ok and allows you to sync the readings on the device but the weird thing was you have to give location access for the sync to happen in background. Omron website says their devices are FDA approved but I couldn't find any particular evidence that says this specific model is FDA approved. I've seen Omron brand devices at Labquest testing centres. They told me that Omron devices are considered industry standard. But I believe they are more expensive models .
FDA isn't that important but they are on the validatebp.org site which is a pretty high standard for accuracy and can be used in charting besides just notes. OMRON and Welch Allyn are pretty much the gold standard. Welch Allyn 1700 and a replacement xl cuff is about as good as you can get for bigger arms up to about 43cm I think. Which is about the limit on inpatient cuffs as well.

I got this for 60 with same day free delivery. I felt obligated to give a $3 tip. I'm convinced that soon the US postal service and Amazon will request tipping. I ordered the 3 series before but didn't care for. My Dr recommended this brand and told me to return the off brand I got on Amazon. I hope this is accurate. My arm is right at 17in but don't see where Omron sells a larger cuff. Honestly I don't care what it costs if it isn't accurate.

I haven't seen an Omron XL cuff. Bought one of the no-name ones on Amazon for about $17. Now it won't come with proper connector so need to take connector off the Omron cuff and put it on the new XL cuff.

Are these 7 and 10 models as accurate as they get? i saw some thread posting results showing this brand being way off compared to some other one. Then again, I've read reviews of someone saying it was very close to the results gotten at their hospital.

I got the 7 from Amazon deal for about $36, but wondering if this one for about $56 after discount codes and cashback is worth it.
