Yeah, I agree it may not be worth the trip depending on distance. If you called MC customer service they may ship you a replacement free if you still have proof of purchase/order on your account...although depending on the value of your time, that also may not be worth it lol.

Even if a properly functioning drive is much faster than yours, your data point is something to consider in the QC/reliability context. Sure it's cheap, I just hope those using it remember the VALUE OF THEIR DATA. I personally won't store critical data or backups on cheap drives.

Yeah, getting a decent PC for $50 would be nice too. While we're at it, maybe a set of new tires for $100 as well.

I was using these to 'upgrade' folks with old, slow-ass drives.
They have an INCREDIBLY-HIGH failure rate.

Do not trust these drives with anything important. Period.

The controller enjoys bricking, and you'll get 'SATAFIRM11' showing up in the BIOS. MC has better drives; get one of those instead.

I tired google phone# and MC said it's a VOIP number and not accepted! MC should reduce some cost of those non-sense work!
