All the same from Chinatown but Husky has lifetime warranty and easier to return as long as you have a nearby Home Depot.
200%? More like 700%, lol.

I'd side on the Husky mainly for the warranty. This type of wrench is subject to breaking in hard use situations and having the ability to get a replacement same day typically is worth a lot of time and hassle. I've not handled the side by side but typically gear wrench has a slightly better designed but not by much.
I've never broken a wrench before, did you guys abuse it by putting a cheater pipe on it?

I bought a Gear Wrench set but they just came loose with no case or tray. Any suggestions for how to organize them with labels for easier identification? I'm thinking something a relative or friend could use for more easily finding a specific size when they're helping out and not familiar with how big a specific wrench may be.

Over time, they wear out and slip.

Look for "wrench tray" or "wrench roll" ... olsa makes some nice organizers as well. Keep in mind while having a nice layout in a drawer, it can take up real-estate that can always be needed in a workshop no matter how big it is.

Gear wrench 100% or icon. Close to the quality of super expensive tool brands without having to pay a extra 200% for the name SNAP ON the be stamped on the side.
Gear wrench and Icon are two totally different levels. Gear Wrench would be closer to Pittsburgh than Icon.

Friends don't let friends buy incomplete wrench sets.

Husky is a good brand, but this is not a great set for the money. Cry once, your money is better spent getting a complete set that doesn't skip sizes and comes with larger sizes. I mean, this set doesn't even have a 19mm which is super common on all the stuff I work on. Worse, the EVA tray this comes with won't even fit those sizes if you end up buying them separately.

Also, chances are you won't need SAE, most autos including domestic brands have been metric for a few decades and most other stuff has moved over to metric at this point. Of course there is plenty of stuff out there that isn't SAE but if you need it you'll know it and would be better of getting a complete SAE set too.

No opinion on this set, but some interesting videos on the subject:

Project Farm compared some ratcheting wrenches:

Torque Test Channel did similar testing with non-ratcheting wrenches:

Torque Test Channel on different socket/type designs:

I found all of them very interesting. Depending on what your use case is -- it can really shift the better wrench. For many, probably good to have more than one set/type.

On a side note, in regards to how expensive ratcheting wrenches are, I was doing shopping for a set a couple months ago. Tekton was a top contender but I couldn't find them anywhere. According to Tekton they can't get the parts for the ratcheting mechanism and don't expect to until next year --- and again, this was a couple months ago. My awesome wife ended up getting me the Capri SAE and metric set for my birthday anyway, which I like better than the Tekton's -- especially now that I have them to compare. Really, really like these Capri's. They're not slippery.. there's a lot of reasons why. Love that woman!

Seems lately most spanner wrench deals are ratcheting. I don't find the ratcheting feature all that useful, and sometimes gets in the way when space is tight. How about some regular spanner deals?

19mm = 3/4" so it does include a wrench that fits 19mm. If you can't use a 3/4" instead of 19mm, then maybe you shouldn't be doing this type of work? And if you do this type of work, you already have at least three of each in your box.

Exactly what I expected. If they had of furnished a cloth roll-up to keep them in I would have been even more pleased.

I have a 30 year old well used conversion chart glued in to the top lid of one of my boxes. The conversion is close and most of the time it works out when you're in a jam but it's not exact, and can vary wildly by brand, bolt condition and tool wear / tolerance. My suggestion is to spend a little more and get complete (quality) sets up front precisely because it will stop you from having at least three (or more) of each of the same thing in your box, while providing a better fit and likely prevent a few rounded off heads and ultimately serve you much better in the long run. My suggestion comes from the intent of passing along 'I wish someone would have convinced me to do this' advice.

If you're not using the right tools for the job and suggesting others follow along maybe it's you that shouldn't be doing this type of work.

Search here for Sunex stubby wrenches. Very good price for non ratcheting wrenches, and the stubby size makes them ideal for tight spaces.
