Checked out this at 15% S&S as I had more than 5 items. But a few minutes later, the order got updated to 5% discount only. Amazon is doing some shady stuff with S&S on their batteries. This happened to the rechargeables too.

no. its the variety pack. well the top says 4 but the bottom says 8 9v so not sure whats up with that

Yes, that's normal. The issue here is bait and switch - I got 15% as I should at checkout and the initial order details. But minutes later, robot raised the price and change order details. This is unacceptable. But then what do you do - spend 30 minutes chatting with another robot for $1.xx or less? This is how they get you. Amazon is getting terrible now esp. with their bad CS.

They did seem to fix the "glitch" where you can't use GC with S&S orders, by restoring the OG checkout page for S&S. GCs still don't auto-apply, so it requires additional clicks, but at least that's fixed.

This auto-discount-reduction feature seems to happen to battery orders of mine. My other S&S orders are getting 10% or 15% as expected. Knock on wood.

For all of you complaining that Amazon is giving you the "bait and switch" about 5 vs 15%, to get 15%, you have to get ALL THE ITEMS SENT AT THE SAME TIME to get the higher percentage. If you have 5 different items showing up at 5 different times, you don't get 15%, you only get 5%. You only get the 15% when they're sending things in the same package.

For those experiencing bait and switch issue, I chatted in coz it happened to two of my battery S&S orders. I wanted them to be aware of this bug/feature, more than the few bucks. 45 minutes and 2 agents later, they said they would report it to the devs to look into it and gave me $10 GC. Terrible service as usual, but hopefully they will fix the root cause.
