Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Signed up for this in December, promo applied fine, and received the $100 prepaid card rebate last week.

I updated a few times in this thread that while the service was slow (about 30 down / 30 up) due to my distance from the tower, it came in handy several times in December and early January storms from cable modem outages due to power line outages and planned Xfinity line upgrades.

However, no big storms the past month, and the TMHI router was just sitting unused as backup to my 800 Mbps Xfinity service. Finally decided to cancel and return the T-mo router in-store three days ago, despite it being a reasonable price for backup Internet. So of course, today the strong winds from a cold front blowing in started gusting through all the trees and bang! blew the overhead lines at the bottom of our street. No power or Xfinity internet - SMH!

Luckily this time, the Xfinity lines are apparently intact, so after putting my cable modem and router on a portable battery, my cable internet is back up even without home power. But starting to regret not keeping the T-mobile Internet for another few months, at least til winter storm season is officially over....

Haven't got my rebate yet it's been over 8 wks. still being charged 50.. Also noticed on the app the gateway switches to n71 and I have to restart it in order to get back to n41. Quite annoying is there any way to prevent that without restart

If you are still being charged $50 per month after 8 weeks, I would call T-Mobile, as they likely coded your account wrong. Under the Connected Devices section of your bill, a phone number assigned to your home internet should be listed. Along side that, it should state the following:
T-Mobile Home Internet $25.00
Includes $5.00 Autopay Discount and $25.00 2022 HINT P22

If you do not see the aforementioned, then that is why you are still being charged full price. As far as your gateway switching bands, I have not had any problems with that, but you should check out Nater Tater's videos. A simple search should bring them up. He has helped numerous people with band-locking so that your gateway will lock onto certain bands that you choose. He also has other very useful videos that explain how to turn off WiFi on your gateway to use your own router, etc.

I hope this information helps you and anyone else experiencing problems.

What brand, size and model number of battery you used? Thanks in advance

Since you just cancelled recently, you might be eligible to restore it as a "winback" (try searching T-mobile winback). Not sure if that's only for full cancellation of accounts vs. cancelling a single line or service, but might be worth looking into if you really regret cancelling.

Anyone that only got an email for their $100 GC, and not a text, the email link doesn't work because of the case-sensitive URL.

If you use something like https://convertcase.net/ and copy/paste your emailed URL, convert it all to lowercase, and then copy/paste that into your browser, it will work.

Hope this helps.

The Autopay discount disappeared from my Home internet line recently even though I have autopay setup with a Debit card for a while.

I was told by customer care that Autopay discount will not be applicable for customers with a grandfather mobile plan. It was showing in my online 10 days back, but T-Mobile customer care is not ready to accept it.

Is any other also having a similar issue with Grandfather mobile plan?

Did you get both the benefits per promotion - $100 gift card + $25 monthly bill? Or you are billed $50/ monthly and given $100 virtual gift card after 8 weeks?

I applied for $100 gift card on 2Jan under promotion 2022 HINT P10 through TMobile site. Its been more than 8 weeks, so called Customer rep and they transfered me to Rebate department. Rebate department is telling me that my Home Internet rate plan is not eligible for $100 gift card.
For me, Home Internet is billed at $25/month (Includes $5.00 AutoPay Discount and $25.00 2022 HINT P22) in Jan and Feb billing statement.
Rebate department connected with customer rep to check if rate plan can be changed to make my account eligible for $100 gift card, but then customer rep said changing my rate plan will remove $25 discount on Home Internet and make it $50/ month!
So, in short, I am now being told my account is eligible EITHER for $25/ month billing OR $100 gift card; not for both together.
The promotion 2022 HINT P22 ($25/ month) and 2022 HINT P10 ($100 gift card) are 2 different promotions, and not stackable.

Can someone please confirm the promotion - if it is EITHER one OR does the promotion mean BOTH ($25/ month billing + $100 gift card)?
