1. How can I thank my driver?
- You can say "Alexa, thank my driver" or "Alexa, tell my driver thank you" using your Echo device or Alexa on the Alexa App and Amazon App on your smartphone to thank your driver for the most recent delivery made in the last 14 days.
2. Which delivery drivers are eligible to receive $5 per "thank you"?
- Amazon Flex Delivery Partners, Delivery Associates employed by Amazon Delivery Service Partners and Hub DP drivers who deliver Amazon packages in the United States are eligible for this promotion, and will receive $5 for the first 1 million "thank yous" received, starting December 7. Deliveries by other partners are not eligible for the $5 promotion, but we will share customers' "thank yous" with those partners. Deliveries are only eligible for this promotion for 14 days after the delivery is made.
3. What happens if I thank my driver for the same delivery multiple times?
- You can thank your driver for the same delivery multiple times, however, the driver associated with the delivery will only receive a maximum of $5 per delivery.
4. How will I know that the driver will receive the $5 when I say thank you? Will I be charged?
- To confirm that your "thank you" has been processed and $5 will be sent to the driver, Alexa will respond, "Glad you enjoyed your most recent delivery. Since you shared your appreciation with your driver, as a special thanks this holiday season, your driver will receive an extra $5 at no cost to you. This promotion is for a limited time only." You will not be charged anything when you thank your driver.
5. I don't own an Echo device. Can I still thank my driver?
- Yes, you can thank your driver using Alexa on the Amazon App or the Alexa App on your smartphone. Start by opening either the Amazon App or the Alexa App, and tap on the Alexa button in the bottom right corner of the screen to speak. Once microphone permissions are enabled, you can tap the Alexa button again and say, "Alexa, Thank My Driver."
6. What if I don't own a smartphone?
- At this time, only customers who have access to an Echo device, the Amazon App, or the Alexa App on their smartphone can access the feature.
7. What happens after 1 million "thank yous" are received?
- The $5 promotion will end after 1 million "thank yous" are received. You will still be able to thank your driver using Alexa and we will share your appreciation with our delivery partners.
