Looked it up myself. Looks like V2 adds wifi so you can schedule fresh ice via your google assistant. If you don't need/want a wifi connected ice maker, V1 could be a good option at this price.

V1 is very difficult to clean that develops mold issues and you can only properly clean the machine by opening the unit in conjunction to using the self clean as a one two punch combo.

V2 remedied this issue with the newer proficient design to properly allow cleaning the unit. V2 is the model you want to get.

Look up the reviews from Amazon for the V1 and other online sources in regards to the mold issues and breaking down frequently. There's been several deals all over the web, retailers trying to offload this and price keeps dropping for this model. Opal 2.0 is better built and improved design for deep cleaning.
