The sad thing is I did the same but ended up having to keep one echo active because google accessing google calendar cannot understand "hey google add event to calendar" "Amazon Prime day" "tomorrow all day"...it will assign a random time and ignore the all day. The echo's on the other hand handle it flawlessly. I've noticed in the last year both the echo's and google home devices got more stupid. Things that worked before stopped working on both.

yeah sadly the echo does have more plugins and support for other devices....too bad..
