I have a few of these for lower powered devices. Bought in 2018 and just replaced the batteries this year. A few screws, pop the cover and done.

It simply doesn't have a quick pop off hatch as other UPSes. We're talking 5 minutes vs 1 minute to swap the battery every 4 to 5 years.

I got this exact model for $50 about a year ago. I use it for my modem, router, and network switch.

It came in handy earlier this year when I had a bunch of power outages (SF Bay Area) over the course of a couple of weeks. I work from home, so maintaining internet connection was awesome. I have a separate 1000VA UPS for my desktop PC setup.

This 425 VA keeps my internet alive for around 3 hours. And I got around 25-30 minutes for my PC, at which point I switched to my laptop.

Hopefully this helps folks gauge what capacity they might want/need.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I RMA'd this 425VA unit as it was emitting a high-pitched whine when powered on. I thought it was my tinnitus at first. RMA process was easy but took about 1 month from filing to receiving the replacement unit.

Just fyi, i dont think these models have usb typeB ports to allow software to safely shut down.

So it would be fine for a modem/router, but not good for a server.

These are good for small applications like routers but are pretty awful for larger applications. They have way more ports on them than they should and don't have any cooling systems so they can overheat easily. I have a couple of these (one for the router/modem and one for my laptop/cell phone) and when kept within a low load they work well but the batteries can be a pain to replace if you are not familiar with electronics (unlike other models where there's a door and you can just pull the battery out instead you need to remove the case and pop the wires off yourself which can pose a shock hazard if you don't know your order of operations. you also then have to stuff everything back into the case which sort of hang loose in there so that's another wrinkle.)

Personally unless you are using it for a small application I would just get a slightly larger one that has built in cooling and more easily replaceable batteries.

This is really important if you are connecting to your QNAP or Synology or Unraid rig.

2003, bought it off a guy selling them outside of staples, "fell off the truck" type of deal. We are all dumb. He is way smarter.
Then I guess this is not a bad deal since many of us won't get a fell off the truck price.
