What do you think is the best deal for volume from pizza chains?

For a while now on cheat day, I have been hitting up Papa Johns and Dominos. I tend to eat a lot on these binge days, and I like that I can get something filling for less than 20$. We are talking about a large and half worth of food most of the time.

Sadly Domino's raised their prices recently and just isn't worth it anymore. I used to get a large roni with bacon extra cheese for about 10$. Sometimes i could XL size that too or i might add a small pizza to it. Papa Johns just has one deal that's worth it but they don't always have it, which is the Shaq pizza. Sadly that Shaq pizza has been creeping up in costs too though. It's still okay at 14$, though.

Last week i made my own pizza and honestly it tasted better than fast food pizza, real cheese! but idk messed up a little adding too much sauce hehe.

Im curious what might be some other options. Im getting tired of wasting time searching for coupons. i Could make my own again but idk there is something more enjoyable about a brand pizza for some reason, even if it doesn't taste as good.

Are you sure? Because I have a great recipe for pizza dough and it's hard to mess up a pizza if you get the dough right. Wink2

First, head on over to the Freebies section and check out birthday freebies. A lot of places offer free food just for signing up with their app. That will save you some money. Then check out the websites of chains near you.

Everyone is offering money back on gift cards, like buy $50 in GC's and save $15. The best deal though is to make your own pizza and brush that crust with some garlic butter baby! laugh out loud

Yeah the dough is what gets me. I have found a 70% off crazy bread at Little C and honestly i find it about the same quality as Dominos. but to be honest if I could save on the Pillsbury dough, i'd probably rather jus tmake my own. Smilie

Ingredients

- 1 and 1/3 cups warm water. Not too hot, or you'll kill the yeast.

- 2 and 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast (7grams/1 standard packet)

- 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar

- 2 Tablespoons of olive oil, plus more for pan and brushing on dough

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 3 and 1/2 cups bread flour (best) or all-purpose flour, plus more for hands and surface

- Cornmeal for dusting the pan

Instructions

Whisk the warm water, yeast, and granulated sugar together in a 3qt mixing bowl. When it's frothy looking, add the olive oil, salt, and flour.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for 3-4 minutes. After kneading, poke it with your finger – if it slowly bounces back, your dough is ready to rise.

Grease the bowl and place the dough back inside. Cover with foil, plastic wrap, or a clean kitchen towel. Let rise at room temperature for 60-90 minutes or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat oven to 475°F (246°C). Lightly grease baking sheet or pizza pan with nonstick spray or olive oil. Sprinkle lightly with cornmeal, which gives the crust extra crunch and flavor.
Brush some garlic butter on that! It's usually done in about 15 minutes.

I can make several personal pan pizza's with it. You can cook slices and freeze them or freeze the dough, or even roll it out then roll it up and freeze it.
