With 10,000 packs shipped every season, it is our most commonly requested kit. It helps us put thousands of free seeds in the hands of beginner gardeners, those with low access to seeds/food, and those growing to share their bounties.

After filling this form out, you will receive an email from us by February 1st 2023 to let you know if you will be receiving a pack.

If you live in an apartment or don't have much of a garden...

Many cities allow you to plant food (for the community) in a traffic circle/roundabout/traffic island/median. First, check with your city transportation department to obtain a permit first if necessary. In Seattle, they are free.

I spray my stuff with dish soap, the bugs hate it. 😀
Ants, too. They hate even the very dilute solution and move out.

GMO isn't necessarily bad, but enough TV/movies about corporate control and the very real issue concerning what big agro does to small farmers?

Just search up Monsanto and GMO lawsuits. The future is dark and filled with nightmares.

Are these non gmo seeds

As far as I know there are no GMO seeds being marketed to casual home gardeners. Farmers who buy GMO seeds have strict terms they have to agree to, especially pertaining to not being allowed to plant the seeds produced from the resulting crop. Not to mention, large scale food producers probably pay a hefty price for GMO seeds. I doubt you'll be getting GMO seeds for free.

There is no scientific reason to oppose GMO.

With possible food scarcity, I hope this helps people find some modicum of self sufficiency.

No scientific reason except that the genetics have been modified by humans instead of mother nature

Everyone is neglecting to mention the real problem with gmo plants, cross pollination with non-gmo plants. Plus, gmo varieties are not offered to the general public anyway.

That's a problem with patents and licensing, not with the plants themselves.

Seeds for Schools!
We have seeds to provide to 1,200 schools across the United States to help them grow their own food and grow their community!

Seed Pack requests are to sent out April and May, 2024 to schools requested by school education email addresses.
There is also a grant being provided for 5 schools of $250 to fund a small garden from scratch.

The Grow Your Own Food Seed Pack has enough seeds to abundantly fill two 4×8' raised beds with healing greens, hearty veggies, tasty herbs and a mix of flowers for our pollinator friends. The pack is perfect for starting a small garden at a school!

The Community Pack has enough seeds to abundantly fill thirty 4×8' raised beds, with a variety of over 20 of the easiest to grow foods from seed. The pack is perfect for starting a large school garden or community initiative as it is enough seed to farm 1/10th of an acre.

What is Our Dream?
To help children, parents, teachers, school administrators and community members grow food at their schools (or in other creative ways)! We want to help schools to start their first garden ever, revive their current sleepy gardens, or simply have access to seeds when finances or access are a barrier.

We dream of this food being grown at schools by children and incorporating the harvest into their school lunch or by bringing it home to enjoy with their family. We dream of the seeds being distributed to children in the classroom to take home and grow, utilizing our educational guides.

We dream of community initiatives blossoming! Families growing their own food at home to pack for healthy school lunches… Families growing food to share with fellow children who have low access to healthy food…. Backyard and front yard gardeners and small farmers to grow food to provide to school lunches…

We dream of YOU doing whatever is most alive in YOU to enjoy the bounty of food you grow and to be of service to your community!

How are We Supporting Beyond Seeds?

-We have a step-by-step video series and growing guide that shows exactly how to grow this food from planning the garden, to planting the seeds, to tending the garden, to harvesting the food!

-We will host a few live Q&A sessions where you can ask me any garden questions (they will be recorded and published).

-We are providing grants of $250 to 5 schools to cover the costs to start a small garden from scratch. Apply here

Who's Eligible?

Anyone who wants to and can grow food at their school or to benefit children at a school in their community!

You must submit your request with a school email address. Don't have a school email address? Ask anyone at your school who does have one to submit the request! Or, include a note with your submission of how you are involved with the school.

How to Sign Up?
Submit your request here. We will ship seeds weekly throughout April and May.
