These alphabet-soup-name products are extremely unreliable. One moment temp shows 98, next moment shows 102. Not what you want to deal with when you have a sick kid in the middle of the night.

I have a drawer with like 4-5 cheaper thermometers from the pandemic, they are all inaccurate pieces of crap. How I take temps is I use a few of them and take the average. Lol.

I've found the most accurate external thermometer to be the TEMPORAL ARTERY THERMOMETER. Got mine under $20 at Costco

Yea i said the most accurate for external was the temporal artery one.

Internally, you want to use a probe type and go under the tongue or in your bootyhole for best readings. For smaller children the butt is the best way since they have small mouths and may have trouble keeping the people still.
