I've been looking to pick up both books and although Book#2 usually goes for about $16-20, Book#1 usually goes for $26-30. So pretty good deal if you're looking for both books; especially for gift giving since it comes in a presentable slip case and according to the back of the case, an exclusive art print that can be framed.

Regular Price: $45.99
Discount: -16.00
Sale Price: $29.99

Includes:
Sorcerer's Stone (Minalima edition)
Chamber of Secrets (Minalima edition)
Collectible Slipcase
Frameable Exclusive Art Print

Picked this up at my local Costco (Seattle, WA). I don't see this online but just for reference, here's what the slipcase looks like:

VU. Have both these books and highly recommend for the fancy value. You'll love them if you're into interactive, pop-up elements. Apparently these are made by the same people who worked on the Art for Harry Potter movies. Since these are delicate elements engineered using card-stock and appear between pages of a printed hardcover book, these need to be handled gently, else they might get damaged - by bending or tearing.

However, in terms of illustration and the reading experience, there is another version, Jim Kay's Illustrated edition, that you could consider too. Things going for it are: larger sized book, larger font, unique illustrations, (somewhat) glossy and better quality pages. (Also, less distraction from not having to worry about bending any pop-up elements like in MinaLima)

I remember reading someone's comment that said MinaLima version (pop-up) would be liked by someone who loves the HP movies, and Jim Kay's Illustrated editions would be liked by someone who loves the HP books. Or if you want the best of both worlds, get both.
