I think I know why some people are not getting it. Paypal/Honey essentially shadow ban accounts from earning rewards. I was shadow banned from honey rewards for reaching out on a Sasmung offer I saw for a Tab S8 ($100 offer) and they essentially ghosted me and now I can't earn any rewards. It happens to a ton of people (check their twitter replies). They also pretend to look into the issue if you contact them then block you on social media. They are pretty shady tbh.
Great deal, thanks! I saved offer in PayPal app, reloaded $10 in starbucks app using PayPal as payment, got 500 PayPal reward points instantly, redeemed for $5 cash in paypal.
Only seeing this on one of our 3 PayPal accounts. But the other offer was available on all 3, and successfully went through. I wonder if I could have used the former to pay for one of the latter. Doesn't really matter though, I assume that I can use the 500 points on anything, not just Starbucks?
Btw make sure that each Starbucks account uses the right PP account before redeeming the other offer, and that the offer was added to that PP account before reloading your Starbucks card. For some reason our accounts were cross-linked and I reloaded using a PP account that I hadn't yet added the offer to, and paid the full $10. I think fixed the links and was able to get $5 off the next $10 reload. I asked Starbucks if they could refund one of the $10 reloads. I know it's not that much money but I don't go there much these days and mostly use stars to pay for drinks.
Also, I came across a bit of a hack recently at Starbucks. If you bring your own mug you get 10 cents off plus 25 bonus stars, and if you get a refill and they apply the personal mug discount, you get an additional 25 on each refill even though it's free using registered cards or the app, so make sure they apply the discount, on the initial order and each refill. With just one refill you get enough stars for a future free brewed drink.
Oh, and there's a way to hack even that into a semi-handcrafted drink that usually requires 150 stars. Order a Cafe Misto, any size, which is half steamed milk and half brewed coffee, add as many shots, pumps, toppings, etc., as you like, and it's still just 50 stars. A poor person's latte.

I got the 500 points and redeemed for $5. How long does it take for $5 to be added to PayPal balance? I thought it would be instant. Also, PayPal should show the points redemption as "pending" until $5 is added and not just deduct your points. Lame.

The guys that got the points.. did you use the website to reload or use the starbucks app?
I used the app (both PayPal and Starbucks) and still no points. It's been about 45 minutes for me.
I clicked on 'Shop Now' on the Paypal app after activating the deal and it opened up the Starbucks app for me. It did go directly to the store choice as if I wanted to order a coffee...maybe doing it that way expects you to make an actual coffee/food purchase and not a reload.
