Excellent price for a laptop that's as powerful as it gets and has best cooling system in the Gaming laptops. This is just $80 more than the last years $1399 but this $80 gives 512GB additional storage and newer and better GPU and a better CPU.
The problem is, they always sell it cheaper on eBay than their own website so people can't use cash back sites or discount codes to get it even cheaper. If this was the same price on Lenovo's site, I'd buy it.
The seller on eBay isn't Official Lenovo but antonline.

Thanks OP, just ordered one. Was so excited about the $1099 Asus Zephyrus G14 deal from Best Buy, but after the first one was DOA, and the second already had faint fan clicking and high pitch noises from the keyboard and AC power block, I'm returning it today for this. This ones $300 over my budget, but I'm willing to do it if I don't have to spend hours QC'ing the farking G14s. Like wtf. Hashtag woo hashtag fingers crossed the L5Pro's aren't dogshit either ✨
Why does Lenovo insist of having a numpad. I would be so on this deal if it didn't have a numpad like the Alienwares. I need a good no numpad deal so bad. Missed the Alienware refurbs a few weeks ago.
Oh I was thinking of getting the Asus ROG g14 ... What problems did you have?
I've had it reboot randomly a couple times on its own. It's also gotten noticeably louder and stays loud even when not gaming; I recently read it's prone to a faulty fan bearing. It's just really loud now and makes weird noises and I feel like it's ready to keel over at any moment lol. I bought it brand new in 2020 fwiw.
Best price to performance currently available, I have the '21 model currently, but I'd still recommend waiting til 4000 laptops since they'll be a huge leap in performance & displayed at ces '23 next year.
Why? 3-4xxx was not even a huge leap for desktops and have even higher power draws.
The laptop improvement will be even smaller.
13th Gen Intel/4xxx Nvidia laptops will be power limited into oblivion.
A 150w 4060 laptop will be like 2k and probably have about the same performance as this.
Real life per watt performance improvements have gotten worse and worse every generation, the most compelling reason to even upgrade to a 3xxx rtx card was better DLSS and Ray tracing.
I mean I hope 4xxx laptops are just as powerful as possible but will be pretty surprised if it's much of an improvement.
Picked up the HP Omen from Microcenter and the trackpad gets blazing hot when playing games. HP had no real solution other than buying a cooling pad. It was clocking in at 95 Deg F, crazy hot. Looking at this Lenovo with core i9 and 3070 all packed into a laptop, wondering if this will also get crazy hot. Microcenter said I have until Jan 15th to return it. Other than they heat issue, its a really nice laptop. Can any Lenovo owners please chime in and let me know if you have any crazy heat issues with your laptop. Thanks,
I specifically avoided buying an Intel in my last gaming laptop after buying 5 different ones from major manufactures and returning them all within the return period for getting annoyingly hot. Apparently that's just within Intel's spec in the last few years. My AMD 5900hx with a low wattage 3070 gets hot but tolerable.
In their lying presentations they are leaning heavily on DLSS3 and being very selective. They said 4070ti would be 3x faster than 3090ti, and on average it is slower.
If you look at the laptop specs they are banking on higher clock rates for the new chips while nerfing every other aspect. Memory amount and bandwidth, shaders, etc.
The 4050 will have a 140W boost max spec just the like the 3060 but will be slower. The 4060 will also not beat the 3070 ti. The 4070 laptop might match the 3080ti. The 4080 and 4090 will be faster but also with higher power budgets. These are predictions of course....
