I get it, things are hard and we feel taken advantage of. However, taking advantage of others isn't going to just intensify it.

The digital distribution of said content is cheap, but production of said content is not cheap. Furthermore, Epic got a license to give away the regular version, not the Director's Cut version. Any other version they give, they probably have to pay for it.

Finally, why should they take it away from those that already got it?

Just so you can feel like it is "fair"?

Do you get upset when someone else gets something on sale, and you don't because it sold out?

Do you get upset when someone wins the lottery and you didn't?

Overall, it just sounds like you are upset somebody else got something that you didn't and then you make reasons to diminish the cost of it to the company.

My suggestion is, you didn't get the Director's Cut today, but you did get the base game and if you wanted to upgrade, it's only $6. Plenty of people didn't even get the base game free.

Constant comparison with others in a way that diminishes yourself is a recipe for disaster, but only for yourself.

According to the internet Big Grin -- the "mystery game" wrapping paper on Epic Store points to either Dishonored: Death of the Outsider or one (if maybe all??) of the Dishonored series.

FYI, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is the sequel to Dishonored 2.

Epic happens to have Dishonored 2 on sale for $5.99.

I've enjoyed this trilogy. (I have it on Steam.) It's similar to the Thief series.

In theory, you probably could. You could always sue, but to win is a different question and if there is significant chance you may win, Epic might want to settle it.

Feel free to start a class action lawsuit about Epic Store's anti-competitive practices.

Prey (2017) and Dishonored are two excellent game series from Arkane Studios for folks who like games like Bioshock, System Shock, Deus Ex, etc.

I'm aware of it. I missed out on it too, but I had no intention of ever installing Epic Store onto my computer anyhow.

That said, people are ridiculously entitled and get wrapped up in their emotions.
