Good price, but the only thing I use 9v batteries for are smoke detectors and, for me, I don't mind paying a premium for long-life lithium batteries to avoid the chirping in the middle of the night and getting out the step ladder to change batteries.

I had bought these for that very purpose and found that they started crapping out earlier than any other 9v I used. They started to go low after only three years, while other cheap-o brands like Ikea or Rayovac had lasted four years or longer.

I have bought Amazon basic 9v batteries. They were the shortest life batteries ever. Waste of money and time, and dangerous if used for fire alarm. I have used them for gate opener so it was only inconvenience and disbelieve that somebody can sell batteries with such short life time.

Buyer beware.

Thankfully, these are easy to open. When I think about all the trials and tribulations I've had opening batteries in the past, it's scary. Even if these were 10 times the price, they'd be worth it. That extra 0.2 seconds is a life changing event.
