"First and most importantly, it heats *extremely* unevenly, something that you can see from the one of the pictures that accompanies another review on Amazon, where the center is nicely dark and seasoned but as you move toward the edges, it's not. I managed to get the whole thing seasoned up, but only by using most of a tank of propane—it takes a *long* time for the parts near the edges to get anywhere hot enough to season properly, by which time the center is just blistering. The upshot of this is that there are not four cooking zones on the top (1 for each burner) but about 16. The whole center portion gets very hot very fast but then the temperature falls off quickly and unevenly around the top, something I could only really get a full grip on by using an infrared thermometer to figure out the differences. The advertising pictures you see of food nicely arranged up one burner zone of the grill is entirely unrealistic. The items in the middle of the griddle would be burned to a crisp before the ones toward the front and back edges even started really cooking. Laying out a couple of packages of bacon for the first cook soon turned into a comical game of trying to move everything around constantly so that all the pieces would cook sort of evenly, which even so didn't really happen."
