Will never order Pocky sticks from Amazon. The one and only time that I did order them, they arrived all stuck together and crushed into pieces.
I bought these at this price about 6 months ago. Just be aware that there are about 7 sticks per package, so these are more expensive than the boxed ones on a per unit basis. Also, the flavor is very controversial. I liked it alright, but many people do not.

Chocolate showing up as $4.xx for me but still a deal. Thanks.

And yeah, previous poster is right, these have a high likelihood of being smashed. Time to roll dice.

Bets on if Amazon will accept a "just keep it" return if they're smashed? I mean, it says "sticks" in the name. I expect sticks, not paste/crumbs.

Can anyone explain why this product is so popular? The company's self-promotion does not seem to equate with the actual ingredients:

"About Glico
The Glico Group is dedicated to contributing to physical health, an energetic lifestyle, and positive mental activity by focusing on creatively living up to the Glico Spirit in accordance to the corporate philosophy of "Achieve Innovation, Usefulness, and the Thrill of the Positive".

Through its products and activities that embody the corporate philosophy of " A Wholesome Life in the Best of Taste" , the Glico Group is dedicated to the achievement of ever-greater innovation that contributes to this and future generations in all the nations around the globe."

versus:

"Ingredients
WHEAT FLOUR, SUGAR, BLEND OF VEGETABLE OIL (PALM KERNEL OIL, HYDROGENATED PALM KERNEL OIL, HYDROGENATED PALM OIL, HYDROGENATED RAPESEED OIL), LACTOSE, WHOLE MILK POWDER, VEGETABLE OIL SHORTENING (PALM OIL, HYDROGENATED PALM OIL), COCOA POWDER, CONTAINS 1 PERCENT OR LESS OF: ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, SOY LECITHIN, SALT, YEAST, CORN STARCH, MODIFIED STARCH, LEAVENING (SODIUM BICARBONATE)."

Did they change the ingredient? I feel like it's not the same.

Those manufactured in Thailand has a different taste from those made in Japan. Go to your nearby Asian grocery stores and try it yourself. I personally don't like those from Thailand.

These are worst tasting cookies and cream flavored snack I've eaten. My kids won't even eat this flavor from the variety pack Costco sells.
