When that's released and the U8H drops further in price, it's going to be an amazing buy.

"According to Hisense, though, the U8K manages to double the older U8H's local dimming zones while still managing to offer up a meaty peak brightness of up to 1500 nits. You'll also be getting an anti-glare, low-reflection screen, too, to cut down on as many ambient reflections as possible. Other goodies in the U8K include a next-gen OTA 4K tuner, as well as Wi-Fi 6e support plus IMAX Enhanced and FilmMaker modes."

You might even be able to pair your old roku tv remote to the roku ultra, giving you an extra.
If folks don't want their tv preferences tracked and attached to their identity, just use a secondary email and acct with no name, address or phone # on it. I have one gmail for personal use and a noname one for tv's, streaming boxes and cameras/internet things. The usefulness of preferences is there, but there's no identifying info on it, other than IP address.
I own a top of the line flagship model from 2020 and while it's bright, contrast is very good, supports Dolby vision, hdr+, etc. Something just doesn't look right in motion.
Now 2 years have passed by and this is still the most common complaint I read online, I believe it has something to do with the actual processor being used.
By comparison a 75" top of the line Samsung is well over $2000, so is LG and Sony.
$1300 seems like an amazing price for their flagship model, but I just have a feeling that some corners are being cut if not it would be priced similarly.
If this is going as a spare tv then fine, it sure I would buy again as my main.
With all that said, 2023 CES showed some great tvs from TCL and Hisense so I would definitely wait to see if they've improved. Otherwise I would buy any LG/Sony Oled instead or Samsung Qled QN90B (or higher) for best tvs.

Vizio is another perfect example
The raw spec numbers looks great...but there is more to the story day to day
