these prices are a joke.

just read an article from august 2022 that says nvidia gaming revenue is down 44% and data center is up 61% from previous year , maybe that has something to do with it..

whatever the reasons for higher priced gaming gpus, it all sucks for the youngsters that now have to convince their parents to spend 500$ or more on just the gpu

Think it's decent if you really can't wait but should definitely be 550 or lower, maybe even 500. Very tempting, but I'm holding my limes for now.

Totally true. Nvidia's sales are down massively due to the crypto mining crash. No one is buying 4080's and 4070 Ti's at their presently inflated price points. Nvidia is intentionally slow-rollling the release of 40-series inventory in order to keep prices high, but eventually they'll have to cut prices due to lack of demand.

Would definitely go with the 6900 or 6950. Both should be around $600s since the 4070 perform better for a little more.
Either way, unless you are doing 4k, all these cards does well at 1440p and above. You'll end up undervolting and limiting the framerate just to keep the wattage down in games. Who needs triple digits on rts?

Stay strongs boys and girls…we're close to making them feel the crunch of no sales. Crypto sales gone and now scalpers realizing they can't scalp. We're in for good prices soon!

This is a solid 1440/4K gaming card but really should be closer to $400 to $450 to be a great price. This isn't a bad price considering the market though.
