Bought this last time… waste of money… it's cool to watch it grow but if you're doing this to eat… it really only grows on one side even tho it says it's two sided. And you hardly get any mushrooms it's more for a fun gardening-science kinda thing.

Funny I don't see the comment before me.... cool to see this here. These are decent novelty kits, and roots is a decent company, you can find find them at walmart, and I think the home centers like Home depot, or menards.

Oysters produce a lot of spores so if you have allergies I would avoid. Hard to not do indoors this time of year, unless you live in a warmer climate.... fortunately oyster mushrooms like cooler temps in the 60's.

Seems fun for the kids, ordered one - however it shows it won't arrive til mid-February. Decided it was worth it and likely we'll be desperate for entertainment during this part of winter.

I've also purchased this kit for myself/friends/family. Everyone liked to see it grow since none of them have grown a mushroom before. This started a new hobby for me and I've been growing for 3 years now.
