I would not not hesitate to recommend this oil as it performed extremely well and lasted 15k miles on my camry hybrid, here is the used oil analysis result: Linky [bobistheoilguy.com]

The mobil 1 extended performance oil I used previously didn't perform any better.
Employee here and I rang many up today. It's only $1 cheaper in-store.
It is a civic..... It'll probably run on water....

Is it okay to mix the "Kirkland Signature 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil" with my current "Castrol 03057 GTX MAGNATEC 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil"?

Wow $8 for 5 quarts is slick. Does that involve a mail-in rebate or instant manufacturer's rebate?
It wasn't instant or mail in when I last did it. I was able to upload pictures of my receipt as proof of purchase.

yes. all sae motor oil can be safely mixed. engine failure would be astronomically high if they were not able to mix and had to tear the motor down every time you switch brands or types to clean every trace of residual out of every crack and cranny.

yeah, thats fine.

ordered two boxes of 5w30. i should have 4 oil changes worth with what i already have. or at least three. i wanted to do the oil analysis next time i change but i want that to be on a 5k old oil change and i am not certain what i am at now. it may be closure to 7500 this time. one dude said they did 15k. thats straight crazy. oil is cheep. engines re expensive. and you will just end up with an oil burner if you do that.

I use the Kirkland oil in my 2 Toyotas for the last couple of years. My wife's 2015 Sienna with 124k miles and my 2008 4Runner with 280k. I change the oil every 5,000 miles and use Toyota filters.

This is great oil. Project Pharm on YouTube does a comparison of this stuff up against other name brands, and it is a very safe bet for a "store" brand.

Yup, it was $25 if I remember, I bought 4 boxes and just ran out about a month ago. Time to stock back up, who knows how much it'll be in 2 more years

Change ours every 7k or less, since when one of our cars need it at 7k I just go ahead and do the other one since I have everything out already and only adds 5 minutes to the job, other car usually has at least 5k by that time

I got used to taking my car in for servicing back when oil changes were $20. I remember a bit of a price shock when they started jumping up to 50, 60, 70. Lately it's been almost $100 minus $10 coupon. Finally decided that it's worth doing myself.

With this deal, it'll cost less than $20 per oil change (oil+filter) & 20-30 minutes of my time. I can service my own car every 5000mi or 6 months for very cheap.

I bought this quick valve oil plug which comes with a drain hose. Can drain the pan and pour new oil in about 10 minutes. Very convenient.

Votex - Made in USA - M14 x 1.5MM Stainless Steel Quick Valve Oil Drain Plug - Part Number SMQDP001 https://a.co/d/78Q9ApX

I use this oil filter tool to easily unscrew the filter.

Regular oil needs to be changed every 3k miles. Full synthetic needs to be changed every 5k miles. People will tell you they do 15,000 mile oil change intervals and have no problems but thats cuz they don't see the pistons building up sludge in the cracks and then their engine pops at 200k-300k miles and they don't come back to brag about how their 15k interval oil changes blew up their engine. Every good mechanic thats repairs engines will tell you that if you want to keep your car as long as possible then synthetic oil changes every 5k miles and transmission fluid every 60k miles for modern fluids and your good to go to 500k miles or even a million if your car doesn't rust before then.

You'd think costco would have a large enough contingent if 5w-40 drivers to warrant selling that weight
