Better - can be connected via Bluetooth so you don't have to use the little receiver (but still can if you prefer).

This is my all-time favorite mouse!
Is this better/worse/same than previous m570 model?
Just wanted to mention these help so much more than vertical mouses. I still felt pain in my wrist from using a vertical mouse but I got one of these years ago and it's so much better. It's different on how you use it and definitely not for gaming but ideal for normal use and office work

Personal preference, I'm not a fan of thumb-controlled trackballs. The thumb doesn't offer as fine motor control as the fore and middle fingers. I used a Logitech Marble Mouse for years until the left click was no longer clicky. Unfortunately, it seems Logitech no longer offers any new fingertip-actuated trackballs, only thumb. These days I use an Elecom Deft Pro and find it supremely comfortable.

If you're looking to break into using a trackball, then thumb bad. Hold out for a fingertip ball of some sort. Then again, I'm just one plebeian among thousands here. Not sure whether anyone else would agree....
I know what you mean. I have a stockpile of Trackman 2 ambidextrous mice for when the switches wear out

Is there a way to get Amazon to price match?
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-T...B0877DK2FL

Click on "Would you like to tell us about a lower price?"

No guarantee though, but maybe if enough people do it.

Lateral movements are much more natural with the thumb than a pointer finger. Hold your hand in a neutral position and try it…

I have two of the M570's and they had the issue with the buttons...but i saw a video on Youtube and was able to fix them pretty easily by just opening it up and spraying wd40 on the switches. now they r good as new
Was about to say I did the same, except I used electrical contact cleaner instead of WD40.

The rep on Target gave me a hard time, initially saying "the item is not valid for price match because the price of the item in our competitor's site is being offered as discounted or sales price. Items advertised as $ or % off are not valid and it is stated as part of the exclusions in our price match policy."

I pushed back, saying that was not in their policy, because it isn't. Their price match policy would be pretty useless if it were . Because I am such a "valuable" guest, they would process the price match after I ordered. Which...whatever. It got done, and I got the mouse.

I think this style of trackball mouse is great, so looking forward to that.

If you are like me and have gone through a few of these and the old 570s, do yourself a favor and give in to the MX Ergo. I freaking love it. Higher quality, use it for game and work, and it has a solid base that allows you to change the angle. Absolutely worth the higher cost. Also 20% off right now… https://a.co/d/7TVxGhd

i have this mouse at work, feels very comfy on the palms. only problem is that it is a bit difficult/precise and slower when i try to copy text. since the ball isnt precise copying is difficult. if your work requires alot of copying and pasting then this is a bit of an annoyance. it is great ergo and for people who have little desk space for mouse movements.

I have been tempted to try the trackball mouse because of desktop space saving. One question about scroll wheel of this particular mouse: does it support free wheel scroll (when you just spin the wheel for fast scroll)? TIA for the info.
No, none of their trackball models support free wheel scrolling

Try the mx ergo. It has the precision button next to thumb. It'll slow down the dpi for precision. I also like that it supports reverse scrolling. More natural IMO.
Sadly, the Mx ergo lasted me almost three years until the clicking problems started. Oddly, I gave my son my broken mouse and the clicking problem went away. Perhaps it's a problem with my laptop.

I agree. I enjoyed this mouse a lot. Loved the reverse scrolling. the clicking problems started after three years. I didn't want to pay $80+ for a replacement. I'm testing another trackball I found on Amazon. I miss my Mx ergo.

How is this model compared to the old one? Also do these last a year at most if you use it a lot before the button clicking issues happen?

I've had one of these velcroed to the arm of my desk chair for over a year (replacing a line of previous models). I'll never go back to mice...these things are just TOO easy to work with
