You realize that the powermatic (this model) has a power reserve of 80 hours. One of the highest power reserves in a mechanical watch. My $5k Tag Heur and my $10k Speedmaster has half this power reserve. This is not even considered fancy in Swiss watch standard. It is decent and inexpensive. Battery powered watch will eventually break with open and closing it in between faster intervals of battery change. Sometimes the battery will leak and corrode the internal parts. Mechanical watch is an engineering marvel.
Not downplaying the watch itself by any means, it's def a great deal and a beautiful watch. Just saying this is definitely more than just a simple purchase. It'd be a shame to leave one of these bad boys in the drawer for months, but that's what I'd do lol

I got this and love it. I have a sizable watch collection but this is one of two daily drivers. Owning an automatic is owning a piece of intricate engineering. It's a non-electric machine that runs on kinetic energy; very different than something that runs on battery.

I did a video comparing this watch and my other favorite here: https://youtu.be/blTP-Z9vwo8

Both have power reserve of 80 hours so they last pretty long, but since I wanted something nice to store them, I got a Flint 2-watch automatic winder from Amazon.
People have different opinions on watch winders but having both of my daily drivers on it helps me not worry about resetting time.
