Their pocket hole jig can only make correctly centered holes at the proper angle in one thickness of stock. Those holes are fine, but if you use any other size of wood, the holes have too much angle or will be close to one edge.
3/4". The holes won't be centered on the 1/2" or 1" and will have a bad pull angle on the 1-1/4" and 1-1/2". The Kregs are adjustable to have the correctly angled hole centered in all of those sizes.

The fact that there were two "terminal" sizes didn't clue you in?

I guess the smaller one could be for those 70 cab/30 bed trucks.

Hey, if it works, is it really a bad idea?

some hardcore HF fanbois downvoting you. you're not wrong that's their whole business model is spamming you 3 tines a day with cheap tool discounts emails... doesn't take long before you get desensitized and realize those are the prices you're always going to pay at HF.

I've been using HF pocket hole jig for years building custom cabinets, tables, frames, etc. ..TONS of 3/4 and 1/2 plywood and solid wood stock use. It is absolutely fantastic. Solid metal construction. Don't listen to Kreg snobs. Go get it and you will have no regrets! Agree with comment above about their screws being terrible, but even there, I still used them up on less important projects.
What screws did you use after using up the HF screws?

It's a good price, but I'd spend a little more for some of the other Chinese ones on Amazon, you get more accessories, and more adjustments.
I agree with an earlier post. I had an HF jig and it was horrible. I bought a cheaper Chinese one off Amazon and it was better. Not a "Kreg" snob, just giving my experience.

Just buy Kreg and never look back, quality bit of kit that I wish I'd bought sooner.

there's an additional 30% off on top of clearance price in store?
If it's got a purple color on it, that's usually the clearance color, and I've had it ring up cheaper, in my experience.

Oh, and watch out for the cheap cords! I was using the heat gun last night to unfreeze the car doors that wouldn't shut and it was -22°F. I twisted the tool and the insulation cracked and it threw sparks in my face when the cord exploded.

The fact there were two 'terminal' sizes to that plumber's brush made it even more likely to confuse it with a battery terminal cleaner.
Battery terminals on auto batteries do have two terminal sizes on each battery.
The positive post is larger in diameter than the negative post.
Tho battery terminal brushes have tapered brushes while plumber's tubing/pipe brushes are not tapered.

When is the cheapest time to buy General tool cabinets? Are there certain sales events that offers coupons that would maximize discounts and be eligible for those storage cabinets?

HF used to have good deals . Now it's the same price as name brand items.

Not worth it anymore
