You cannot beat the price for these specs! However, I do not know about the reliability of the brand. The reviews are not that encouraging. Still this is the lowest price for this item.

Please read reviews and post in this community. It has manufacturer failure and various BSOD problems.

Bought and returned. Too much overheating and blue screen issues.

Undervolted to help with the temperature using MSI Afterburner for the GPU and ThrottleStop for the CPU helped a little but eventually bluescreened.

These seem to be plagued with issues. Wouldn't even buy a refurbished or open-box if it keeps getting BSOD.

Im typing from this notebook now - picked it up yesterday.

Pros:
Screen is great.
Performance is great. It does run warm, though not crazy crazy hot as mentioned by some others.
Build quality is actually decent
Battery life is pretty good with the AMD model

Cons:
The keyboard is AWFUL. Absolutely unusable. I'll be returning for this reason.
Power brick is massive and the notebook will not charge via USB-C
Speakers aren't great. Servicable, but not great.

If you're using this mostly as a desktop replacement, you won't find better value and wouldn't hesitate picking one up.

Super helpful, thanks. I'm a little surprised that 24 hours with the keyboard is making you hate it that much though. Is it crazy shallow? Do the lights not work?

Reading reviews of the AMD based Maingear laptops on microcenter (with 6900 CPU) they seem to have issues.

The keys have quite a bit of travel, but require you to fully actuate the mechanism to the bottom of the key stroke or it won't register. If you're a heavy handed typer, you might actually prefer this. Personally, I can't stand it. I'd have to completely relearn how I type to use it functionally. (also, the space bar is maddening. You have to hit it close to dead center or it wont register)

The 17" vector pro 2 has a completely different keyboard that I much prefer, which is unfortunate as I won't be hauling that thing around Smilie

I've read this is a rebranded Chinese laptop from Tong Fang, which is a Chinese company that is a state owned entity by the PRC. Just a fyi if you care about where you send your money or what kind of Spyware might be baked in.

Might be worth researching further if you care. Also there is a reason this is so cheap for the specs and it likely isn't because 2023 models are incoming.

Totally. See if you can grab an open box unit. One near me for $849, which is crazy.
